Baldinger Breaks Down the Chiefs D

https://twitter.com/BaldyNFL?ref_src...Ctwgr%5Eauthor

Basically, every facet sucks. The DL is getting blocked and can't get off blocks, the LB's aren't communicating, the DB's aren't communicating and tackling. More of an execution issue than play calling.

This season has basically killed off any joy I had for football. At least in the Cassel days....I knew that we ****ing sucked and I could laugh at it. There's nothing worse than going 5-0 and looking like legit contenders to this ****ing bullshit. And the worse part is knowing that nothing is going to change after this season. I'll have Mahomes to look forward to but we'll just lose games like we did against the Jets.

We will have to wait for CHunt to figure out that Reid is the problem.

It took Philadelphia 14 years.

Just imagine Peters doing the exact same things he's been doing, but doing it under the watch of BB / Patriots. I'm not even talking about his kneeling etc. I'm talking just his play on the field, effort, tackling etc.

it wouldn't have got to this point.

It got to this point because of the culture that exists here in KC. And that's on Andy.

By allowing Peter's to do what he does, Andy has basically told everyone on his team that Marcus doesn't have to do the same things everyone else does. He's on a different set of rules and expectations. It's no wonder we see the things on defensive side that Baldinger pointed out in his twitter vids. You get here by allowing Peters do do whatever the hell he wants for 12 weeks.

They really need to bench Peters for at least one quarter this week. Not for the stupid flag throwing, but the lack of effort.

Not even DT was above having to sit for dumbassery.

Not punishing Kelcee for his antics set the tone...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Cut Allen Bailey: $6 million saved
Cut Ron Parker: $5 million saved
Cut Revis: $4.5 million saved
Cut Frank Zombo: $1 million saved

That puts us at $52 million in cap room going into next season. Does that open up a lot of holes on this roster? Yes. But we aren't competing in 2018. We aren't realistically competing until 2019-2020. You take that $52 million and you fill the holes with 1 or 2 year contracts with role players.

Defensive line? Find role players and pay them on 1 or 2 year prove it deals. You've got Jones and that's about it. Stop grabbing developmental players and draft guys that can start day 1 and at least soak up some reps.

OLB? We have Houston and a combination of KPass and Nicholas. Both of those guys need playing time and reps anyways. See what you have in them and add a 4th guy through the draft or FA.

ILB? This position is actually not as bad off as most of us think it is. KPL and Ragland can fill those positions. Eligwe needs reps as well. Grab a 4th in FA or the draft.

CB? Huge need outside of Peters. Go take some of that money in FA and find the best CB there is. If that's Malcom Butler....so ****ing be it.

S? Hopefully Berry comes back fully healthy. It's pretty much him and Sorensen at this point. Go find another Abdullah or find a true ball hawking FS and put Berry in the box.
If it were up to me, I would dump Sutton and his 3-4. Hire a Gus Bradley/Dan Quinn disciple to run Seattle's 2012 defensive scheme. Jones and Bailey could be our Mebane and Branch and Houston could fill in the Leo (Clemons/Irvin) role. We would just need a Red Bryant type DT and a better MLB. Outside of Wagner, Cam, Thomas and Sherman, Seattle's D has been pretty plug and play over the years.

Otherwise, we are going to have to load up on OLB, which are tough to find anyway, and better DEs. We need a safety and a corner regardless.

Getting Berrys inspiration back on defense and adding Mahomes ability to the whole team is gonna be huge.

I think the whole team is dogging it to get Alex pulled. They see Mahomes in practice and it must be very frustrating to go out and give your all and have Alex Smith be a big reason you lose (not against Jets) knowing what you see from Pat is much better.

I think the level of play is goi g to go way up when a change is made.

Been sayin this over and over and over. Fat Andy is too ****ing stupid to realize this shit. The defense played well enough to win in most of the recent losses and even when they had an off day, Alexis STILL had the ball in his hands to win or tie the games and he couldn't ****ING do it.

Stop trying to reshift the blame back on the defense who has been carrying his sorry ass with turnovers for the last ****ing 5 years. He produced ONE offensive TD when the D got him 5 turnovers against Denver.

Let's get back to what is REALLY wrong with this team. Damn, has anybody on here EVER played sports before?
