14 pt lead blown in 5 minutes..add it to the list

Yeah, I know, it's the players. Whether it's Peters\Smith or DJ, Hali, Houston, Scandrick, Nelson, Ford, Hitches, Berry, Sorenson...doesn't matter

It's not a coinkydink that the defensive coordinator we have has managed to coach defenses that consistently piss away double-digit leads for 5 years now. It's all the players.....

Edit: After further review this is yet another historical type choke by a Sutton defense.

His notables:

2 of the 4 biggest blown leads in playoff history (Ten & Indy)
Only team to score 50+ points and lose
And now this one where this is only the 4th or 5th time in the last 1040+ games where a team blew a 14pt lead in the last 5 min and the only team to do it this season

Agree with Drunk... We shouldn't have to be perfect on offense every drive... We just need a semblance of a defense. Chiefs defensive scheme getting destroyed all over sports radio... Change is needed

This is really the core issue. I've never seen a defense that is so anti-clutch. Whenever we need them, they curl up into a fetal position. The personnel has changed over time, so it has to be the system.

I know there are a lot of people who love Reid, and I think he's a great head coach, but it seems to me every year as he garners a number of wins he begins to become more and more conservative, in his play calling, and how he handles a lead. I didn't see any of the innovation we saw earlier in the year...this looked like a vanilla offense tonight. It's like he's at a poker table and he doesn't want to lose any of his chips so he starts betting modestly even though he's got the cards.

That was a tough loss guys. ****... Nothing we can do about it now just have to get ready for the next opponent and learn from this. Horrible job by the offense and defense in the last 5-minutes.

I’m just really upset with the play calling on that last offensive series. We didn’t need to score, just get one first down to put the ****ing game away. They went into a shell at the wrong time.

Our last drive was a run and two passes. Penalties and a big loss on first down killed the drive

Hard to win when you have two backup guards. Defense was pathetic last two drives

The last offensive series sucked...but it's not why we had almost half of the yards we usually have in a game.

Can somebody do a screen shot of the missed push off with the ref looking right at it?

That was killer. No bodies in the way, standing just a few feet away.

I could understand this if we ran the ball 3 times, but we threw it twice and dumb ass Harris false started...

The players were lost on the 2pt conversion. It was not some kind of trick play either. The dude just was not covered and TWO Chiefs DB's were just looking at each other looking for answers. GAME OVER.
