@LordReebs: Per PFF, Jenkins ranks third in QB rating allowed in coverage (44.9) since Week 5 behind Stephon Gilmore (32.6) and Richard Sherman (43.5). https://twitter.com/Rotoworld_FB/sta...09949146558464

@spotrac: Teams can post a claim for CB Janoris Jenkins, who was waived by the #Giants today, on Monday. The 31-year-old will have $1.2M remaining in 2019, then $11.25M (non-guaranteed) due in 2020.

I still use the word reerun but not like in public or to talk about anyone that has real issues.
It's kind of frustrating how progress means that literally every single word is no offensive. |

So, if someone called him an N-word, I guess that's okay if it's a part of their culture?

According to Pro-football-reference.com, Janoris Jenkins has played 875 snaps or 97.66% of all defensive snaps for the New York Giants this year. He has had 54 tackles, 4 INTs, and 14 PDs.
Currently KC has Alex Brown as the 4th CB, with Morris Claiborne and Rashad Fenton hurt. I think Jenkins has already earned his pay from this week, so the team that claims him would only have to pay him for two weeks. That would be $1.194 M, so not too bad. NFL Current Waiver wire order has the Chiefs as the 26th team. Most of those teams don't need him and don't need the negative PR from bringing him in. Teams that might pick up Jenkins that are ahead of us on waiver claims. 10 LA Chargers. 11 Denver Broncos. 13 Philadelphia Eagles. 14 Oakland Raiders. 17 Cleveland Browns. 19 Tennessee Titans. 20 LA Rams. 21 Dallas Cowboys. 22 Pittsburgh Steelers. 23 Houston Texans. 24 Buffalo Bills. 25 Minnesota Vikings. 26 Kansas City Chiefs. Clark would have to first sign off on it, but I would go to Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo and see if they feel like Jenkins could help. I doubt that Clark Hunt would sign off but if Spagnuolo says yes, I would sign him. |

I think back at the end of October, just before the trade deadline, Terez A. Paylor reported that Chiefs were not interested in trading for Janoris Jenkins. Maybe still true for a waiver claim, but what they would have to pay him is a lot less now.

Something I just read. New York Giants waived/injured Janoris Jenkins because he hurt ankle in practice. He might not be able to come right in and play if he is hurt.
If Jenkins passes through waivers, doesn't he go back on Giants IR? Checking back, 2017 was the only year Jenkins missed any significant playing time, so he has been pretty injury free. Next year Janoris Jenkins base salary is $10,150,000.00. He can be cut and claiming team would not owe that BUT if he should be injured this year and it is serious enough to extend into next year, the claiming team would have to pay that. Maybe Chiefs don't need to mess with that. |

I'd figure Spagnuolo would have a good idea if Jenkins is worth it. I'm not worried about our cornerbacks' talent, but I am worried about their health.
