Will you be getting a 3rd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine?
* If you haven't gotten a COVID vaccine and have no intention of doing so
* If you are anti-vaccine
* If you are just going to stir up shit

.... please just go to the DC and discuss your opinions there.

For those of you left.... What are your thoughts on a 3rd dose of the vaccine 8 months after your second jab? There seems to be very limited data on this at the moment, other than a bit of info out of Israel that shows a 3rd jab of the mRNA vaccines shows an increased level of antibodies. But from my understanding, they're only using Pfizer.

This obviously leaves a lot of questions regarding Moderna and Johnson and Johnson. I'm not even sold on the idea of a booster being needed for all ages.

What are your thoughts?

Novavax is just about to get FDA EUA, and was made more similarly a traditional vaccine and reportedly caused little to no side effects in its trial. If COVID vaxes end up being recommended for young children it’s definitely what I’d want my son to take if we go down that road. Denmark just bought 5 million doses after their trial with Novavax and so far all of the folks who had it in their trial and all studies behind it have been overwhelmingly positive.

Did Moderna in February. On board with a 3rd if it is a good idea. I have not read too much into it though. I don't have any special factors that make me high risk so not in a hurry.

I took the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. So the first booster, when/if it is recommended, will be my second dose. It will probably be a while before I need my third.

I had an immune response to both shots and thus was awarded days off after both shots from my employer without having to use my own PTO.

Everyone in here seems to be having a pretty logical conversation. Which is what I was hoping for. I imagine if you could conjure up enough anti-vaxx folks to have a thread of your own without being political it would probably stay in the lounge too.
