That was my point in the other thread ... Dante is 5 foot nothing, so sending him across the middle is kinda like putting a target on the X-Factor. Secondaries would have to start out on their hands and knees to avoid hitting this guy and not looking like they're going for his head.

Football is a high impact/full contact sport... when you have a 5'8/193 lb receiver crossing the middle and a 6'2/220 lb safety goes at him, something is going to give.

Lynch could have put that hit in that exact scenario on Kennison and we wouldn't be having an issue.

Lynch wasn't even on the team last year.

I think what it had to do with was that Dante was having the ball thrown to him over the middle, and our guys aren't supposed to let that happen.

You can try and get any satisfaction about last year from the event as you possibly can though if it'll make you feel any better about it.

Dante's a short guy, and you guys can get used to seeing exactly this if Saunders plans on sending him over the middle like that.

Uh, there would still be complaints, because Lynch didn't pull Kennison's flag. This is flag football, right?

Bob Dole just watched the damned "tape" frame-by-frame, which is why Bob Dole went ahead and posted the grainy photos.

While it may be "football" to some of you toughguys, Bob Dole would kick his son's ass if he led with the crown of his helmet like that. Bob Dole enjoys watching a clean lick just as much as anyone else, but that shit needs to stop yesterday.

Cheating? How did we cheat?

What are you talking about? Hitting a guy isn't cheating, even if you do think it was a high hit.

The fact that you guys never have to defend your players from hard hits like this tells you all you need to know about your defense.

Yeah, I think I heard Lynch say that last year when he was with the Bucs, he was really pissed that Dante made the Broncos look foolish.

It appears to be a bit late, but nothing to get too incredibly worked up about.

Somebody typed you could "clearly see he was staring at the ground". Well, I can't see his face, much less his eyes..."

I will give you this - by looking at those grainy still photos, it's hard to argue being late (possibly 3 steps). But, if Hall goes over the middle more often as the season progresses, his 5 and a 1/2 foot frame is going to get hit above the shoulders often.

The sequence of those photos shows one where Lynch is going dead on for the chest, the next shows "helmet to chin" contact which would be expected at the point of impact when Hall was hit.

Again, you guys want justice ... we think there's nothing wrong. Similar to a dozen situations b/t rival fans in every game.

The ball was further from Hall than I recalled, so that's why I have no issues with it being flagged as a late hit. I just don't see the spearing.[QUOTE]

Oh, I'm sure it was discussed in some of the "team meetings".

Since you seem to have a strong stance on clean hits I would be interested to know what your opinion is regarding the helmet-to-helmet hit put on quentin Griffin after he went out of bounds?
