If a QB drives the ball 80 yards but a running back comes in and runs the ball a yard he doesn't credit for the TD. If JC gets 70 YAC, the QB still gets credit for the TD. Those are extreme cases but systematically:

(a) a WCO vs a more vertical passing attack game will yield less TD's for the QB.
(b) a ball control team will yield less TD's for the QB. Basically, pace is slower and points are more valuable
(c) a team that wins by establishing early leads will yield less TD's

Sound familiar? (a), (b), (c) pretty much describes Jim Harbaugh's offense so it's not surprising to me he had low TD's before.

And it's not surprising to me that his TD numbers have gone up but are not lead leaguing. Reid's offense is more aggressive but we still have a phenomenal back and a good defense.

A QB with high TD numbers is going to be somebody who plays on team like the Cowboys. Stacked with talent at the passing end, piss poor on defense. They have to score, and continue to score, to win. And don't have a back like JC or Frank Gore to close games.
Excellent post again! WCO with typically strong D, STs, and RB... Also weak on pass pro and deep speed receivers. Well now, doesn't that just sound like the 2011-2012 49ers and 2013 Chiefs? :feigned shock:

The douchebag has been you. You spent the ENTIRE damn day on here bitching and moaning.... making everything combative and nasty... all the while pretending to be fair and neutral... ultimately sounding like anything but a Chiefs fan. For shame. Anger and butthurt over past conversations that scar you to this day. How's that for pathetic? Seems you crawl over here to CP from another KC forum every few months... spew your garbage... then crawl on back. Maybe they kicked you out for good this time? nevermind, don't care. Eat shit, you pain in the ass pile of weeping, vaginal ooze.

Probably the same beef most had with Patriot fans coming here in 2009.

See, 49er fans have seen success. Got enough Super Bowl rings to fill an entire hand.

Coming here and telling us how we should act, as fans, is beyond ridiculous.

Of course, I'm guessing this concept is completely lost on them. It's pretty obvious how old they are.

The other side is comprised of people that came here for the SOLE PURPOSE of telling us how lucky we are for having Alex Smith. They proceed to tell everybody here how to treat said Alex Smith and how we have to think of him exactly the way they do or we're not good fans.

The reality is that the VAST MAJORITY of people here don't hate Alex Smith. In fact, even the majority of people that hated the trade like him now. You know why? Because he's gotten A LOT better. A LOT.

And yet, here are the Smith fans, continuing to harp on us being bad fans because we aren't willing to put a crown on him.

Only one side is out of line here.
So you and OTWP only have issues with the 49ers fans and that's what this is all about?

I think you're missing what the actual issue is. See my post to Marcellus.

Because we've seen that approach win SB title after SB title, starting in the late 90's.

I share your hope. But is solid good enough?

For some of us, just winning some games is enough. It's fun. For others, not having won a SB in 40 years, or a playoff game in 20, has taken it's toll on "hope".

Me, I'm in the 1st camp now. But only because I came to a realization about myself as part of the 2nd.

Well, at least get it right. I have never disrespected Chiefs fans UNTIL they come at me with hostility. So if they expect me to just take it and smile because it is "in their house"? They can surely go shove a spiked club up their smug ass.

Just because you may have had poor conversations with a SF fan here or there and months ago? Holding onto that? and blaming ALL 49ers fans for that? is weak-sauce and irrational.

Men don't hold pussy grudges like that.

Think about it.

How about comparing Smith's season to the seasons where Cassel was the worst starting quarterback in the NFL? Wouldn't that be a better indication of whether or not Alex Smith is exceeding the expectations of the people who blasted the trade?

Without digging through the thread where is a link to the story Reid told Smith he wouldn't be a good QB unless he throws downfield more?

Even if the chiefs lose in the playoffs. They don't suck.
So there is that.

When the offense was in disarrary there were numerous reasons, but they never cost us the W. When the defense was in disarray is bit us hard and decisively, costing us the W thrice consecutively. The offense have improved week by week, the defense has righted itself of recent, and the future remains unwritten.

Without digging for it, here's an article from BEFORE THE SEASON when Reid said Smith needs to take more chances downfield.
