Latest tweets have Haith leaving barring a last minute collapse in talks.

By BILL HAISTEN World Sports Writer | 0 comments A source indicates that Missouri’s Frank Haith, the 2012 Associated Press national coach of the year, is positioned to become the University of Tulsa’s new head basketball coach. Haith is described by the source as “a very solid front-runner” and is expected to be offered an opportunity to succeed Danny Manning as the Golden Hurricane coach. It is expected that Haith will meet today with TU President Steadman Upham and athletic director Derrick Gragg. University officials will not provide confirmation of any information related to Haith’s possible involvement. The 48-year-old Haith has been Mizzou’s coach for three years. The 2013-14 Tigers were 23-12, with an NIT appearance. During his first Missouri season in 2011-12, the Tigers were 30-5. This season, Haith coached Jordan Clarkson, who transferred to Mizzou from TU. When Haith accepted the Missouri job, he followed Mike Anderson, a former TU player who now is the head man at Arkansas. Dating to the mid-‘90s, when he was Mizzou’s director of compliance and operations, Gragg has connections to the University of Missouri. |

This is one of the few cases where I won't make fun of Mizzou for the possibility of having their coach hired away by Tulsa. I hope Haith leaves - he'll make our games against the Golden Hurricane easier.
