Ok, breathe easy. GREAT minutes from Tharpe and Young. Releford and Elijah need to wake up.

Stop the turnovers and slow down on our offense, we can get this game easily. Our D is good, the freaking turnovers and the fouls are going to bite us in the butt if we do not correct it.

I think Releford is playing okay on the defensive end. Elijah needs to pull his head out of his ass.

I agree with everything except we don't need to slow down our offense. Just take good shots. There were a couple of guarded threes taken. I'm sure that does not please Bill Self. It's kinda cool that we turned the tables on them late in the half. Started turning them over and getting transition points. Good stuff.

Also, again I really like Kevin Young. The guy gives everything whenever he's out there.

Up by 10 at the half. Could be worse. Now we need a run and step on their collective necks.

Exactly. I guess I'm in the minority, but I haven't once been worried since the game started (of course, that could change)... Self will adjust the offense. Detroit is shooting 30% and 0/7 from 3... unless they get hot, I'm feeling good about it.

This is a new era folks. Parity is real. There's no such thing anymore as an "easy" game to warm up for a 5-game war. EVERY game is a battle.

You imply that this is not something new, that I'm observing a long-known truth.

You are wrong. Normally, 15's and 16's get blasted.

It's crazy how quickly it's grown... when George Mason made the Final Four 5-7 years ago, that was pretty freakin' significant. VCU did it last year, and it was surprising, yet Butler and a UConn team that was .500 in the Big East were there, too.

Might just be a matter of a year or two before a 16 seed wins a game.

Just took a glance through the Mizzou basketball thread. I'm going to leave most of them alone. KU fans caught more than a couple of bucket loads of crap over Bucknell, Bradley, NIU and VCU. We had to take it, we had it coming.

I will admit that there are a couple (not the majority) of Mizzou fans that I would love to relentlessly rail on. One primary offender has railed and railed against KU, and has decided to go back to playing the "basketball is a secondary sport and I don't really care about college basketball". Yeah, he can dish it out, but now that the shoe is on the other foot, he can't take it. Way to man up.

For the Mizzou fans that have been cool, I feel your pain. Yes... been there more than once.

Agreed man, i feel bad for the fanbase(as a whole). Let us not forget we're all Chief fans if we ever need a dose of reality.
