Right, fans had no idea Peters might take it personally when they start calling him a thug, a jerk, and flood his social media with comments blaming him for disrespecting Vegas shooting victims. Peters deserves blame and he's gotten plenty. Dorsey deserves blame and he's gotten plenty. Few here have suggested otherwise. What I see are plenty of people profusely defending fans as if they did nothing wrong. There are a subset of fans who decided to troll one of our best players during a winning streak. They chose social activism over winning. You can excuse that all you want. I as a fan ****ing hate it.

did Peters even hear the fans? I doubt he did. he probably heard something like a cacaphonous hum.

and fans are fickle. they can do no wrong (except for throwing batteries)

I never booed him for his barely-thought-out and never enunciated antics. At most I rolled my eyes. And I'm not 'excusing' the crowd. Peters was berated big time on social media that week because they blamed him for not respecting the Vegas shooting victims during the national anthem. You don't think they were bringing that noise to the game, especially for him to react like that?

Right, just a civil group of people disagreeing with him. No fans at all that overreacted to every mistake he made on the field, booed him, trolled him on the field, called him a thug, told him he sucks... nothing like that.

What superstar in their right mind would want to play for a city that treats them like that? No, I don't think he'd get nearly this kind of reaction in Seattle or Oakland, probably won't in LA. Those players protested too, you know, without nearly the same kind of backlash.
