Those poor throws ARE troubling. But if you're going to use that logic you have to factor in all the passes that have been missed/dropped by his own receivers. Would that basically counteract the negative throws he's made?

The catch Bowe made and "stepped out" was almost a pick 6 as well. Alex has gotten pretty lucky this year. A couple of those were during important parts of the game that could have changed the outcome.

There are actually two more throws I didn't GIF, because one was on a hail mary, and another was on a ball Avery flubbed that was almost picked.

Can you imagine if Alex had 11 INT!!!!

There is a huge difference between a defender getting his hand on a ball and a guy flat out dropping a ball thrown right to him.

I knew Alex had had a couple of passes dropped by defenders but was honestly shocked by what I found.

That's a lot of should-be picks.

Whats crazy is I haven't seen any other QB's almost throw a pick. Its uncanny.

Hell I think our defense has dropped 4 or 5 themselves.

Well, that's the problem with "almost picks." No easy way to tell if it's a lot or not. (Do you know of a source that lists near interceptions?)

The way things seem to me is that pretty much most games the commentators are saying at least once or twice "so and so got lucky on that one. That should have been an interception."

6 almost picks might be about average.
