['Hamas' Jenkins]

We have two things to look forward to this year:

1) The potential beginning of the Maty Mauk Era. Mauk represents the best chance for this program to get back to a level of respectability after horrendous QB play cost us multiple games last year.

2) The last year of the Gary Pinkel era. Pinkel's entrenched cronyism won't play in a conference this competitive, especially if he couples his abysmal gameday coaching with lackadaisical, worst-in-conference recruiting. Pinkel was the formerly adequate meal that has now turned into a four pound bowel obstruction. It's time to jam a Fleet's enema up our collective asses.

Here is the schedule. We dodge Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas in the west and the Non-con is decidedly weaker than years past.

Looks like 6-6. Undefeated in non-con, 2-6 in league play.

I will eventually update the OP with a list of high profile in-state recruits that decide to go elsewhere after a half-assed attempt to gain their services. The inevitable cavalcade of *** rejects, skeezers, skanks, and scalliwags we get will fill out the ranks.

Since every Mizzou thread eventually dies of AIDS, I recommend starting anti-retroviral therapy immediately. I believe Walgreens covers Express Scripts.

Everyone knew that Ealy, Sam, and Gaines could play. Gaines is the best Missouri DB I've ever seen. Who do we really have that could replace him?

I'm extremely worried about the talent level on D if Golden bolts, too.

With Ray and Golden, Missouri at least has two DEs who can put a lot of pressure on the QB in passing downs. I'm confident the staff develops at least one solid guy behind them.

The DT spot is going to be a strength. So the DL would be at least pretty good as a whole if Golden returns. And that covers up a lot of problems on the back 7.

One good thing is that they've played a decent chunk of this season (2nd half of Georgia game through Tennessee) without Gaines on the field. I think Penton and Gibson will benefit from that experience and be a solid combo at CB, though neither is as good as Gaines next year.

Missouri is making a play for Kiy Hester, **** safety out of New Jersey. He's got a huge offer list and visits set up already. Seems like a shot in the dark, but I guess you never know.

I saw DGB recruiting Dominique Booth on Twitter last night. That was cool.

Any word on Iheanacho or others??

First saw Hester's name about a month ago.

There are some high-level 3 and 4-star athletes in Florida they're pursuing as well.

**** ATH Jimmy Bayes (USF commit). Could be a safety or a LB.


**** DE Dante Sawyer out of Gwinnett (Nate Brown's school)

No official word. Know they have an in-home with Booth. He and Brown would be a really nice, physical tandem to have in the same class.

His official visit to Missouri is set for next weekend, if I remember correctly. Good sign? Maybe.

I haven't "fouled" your Mizzou thread this year, but wanted to say congrats on a great season, no matter what happens now.
No way did I think the Tigers would be this competitive ever, let alone their second year in the SEC. Looks like it was a smart move.

We'll see if he still visits with Nate Brown in January. He said last week he still planned to take his trips, even though he was announcing this decision this week.

Hope for a mild January day when Brown and Sawyer come to visit...
