Did Tony Stewart Kill Someone Tonight?

I'm seeing it on Twitter. On my phone and can't link. One of his fans says he ran over someone on a yellow and should be arrested for it.

They keep taking videos down as fast as they are going up but there is one that , judging from the comments on deadspin, shows a view from behind the car... Wish we could find that one.

And a guy driving down the highway has nowhere near the driving ability, knowledge of distance and maneuvering options, nor the awareness that a professional NASCAR driver has.

If the driver of the car saw you, and then accelerated, then yes, it can be partly his fault just like in this situation.

Once again, we're talking about a guy that drives 200MPH for a living, a guy who by trade has perfect vision and more awareness than every other guy driving there. Yet the other drivers didn't have that much trouble avoiding Ward. The other drivers didn't suddenly accelerate when they saw him on the track. Stewart was the only one that did that.

And BTW, have you read me saying that the guy who died isn't responsible at all for what happened to him? You keep acting like I'm putting 100% of the blame on Stewart. Both of them share it.

I don't have a side in all of this. But a counter point to what I bolded would be the guy on the track was also trying to avoid those drivers. He wasn't trying to avoid Stewart. He was, foolishly, trying to get to him.

Chuck Miller, race director for the Empire Super Sprint Series said the cars were alerted when the caution came out.

But.... That doesn't matter. He still ran a guy over and will not get in trouble.

It's kind of ****ed up but I'll admit I think it is kind of funny. I mean you've got this pro driver who wipes out a young punk. The kid gets out of his car and talks some shit and the pro runs him over. Would it be any different if Pollard played in the arena league for fun and some punk ass kid playing WR talked some shit to him? I know he killed him but it's still funny imo. He didn't mean to.

I deleted that post. Beach Tribe posted it on post #413. It actually seems to be basically the same angle the only difference is the sound of acceleration

It was on the local news, and I wasn't watching too closely, and didn't know how to interpret it anyway.

I haven't driven anything with 4 wheels on dirt at speed, but things with 2 wheels on dirt are always in a controlled state of sliding and skidding and catching again. Obviously an experienced driver would know this, but dirt is still dirt.

Got ya. It's in the comments section of the original post on deadspin but user removed. Comments talk about seeing the car go sideways prior to hitting him and seeing him go all the way around the tire...

I have watched every clip available and still have no idea of intent. I do know a young man lost his life needlessly. Thankfully this will not be determined here by several who have jumped to conclusions~
