Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

Today is a good day. Buddy who does reloads sent me 100 rounds of 300BO. Some 178 grain AMAX and some 110 grain CHAOS. Now I just need to get to the range.

Mossberg Maveric 88. Nothing fancy, but it's damn reliable.

Does anybody own a mini 14 or 30? They look cool, remind me of an m1 carbine. I'm thinking I'd like to buy one. I'm really liking the action of them.

Had my mini-14 going on 20 years now and I love it. It's a bone stock ranch rifle. The only add on I have on it is a Burris Fastfire red dot and a couple of Ruger 30 round clips. If he doesn't answer here, hit Livesteam up for some info. He knows these rifles inside and out. |

I like the oldies. I have a 1930's era Winchester Model 12 and an old Ithaca Model 37 that I hunt with. There are much better performing modern guns but I just like the looks of these two and I can hit a flushing grouse with either one.

Heads up to the Olathe folks.
If you need some .22, head to the Walmart on Santa Fe and K7. They have a ton of Remington Bucket 'O Bullets right now. Each one has 1,400 rounds, and costs $70 before tax. Limit is 3 per person. |

Try this again...
Was checking the stash that doesn't see the light much for rust and moisture and had to share. This 44 was bought as a gift before I was born. Never had the factory zip tie cut. |

edit. I need to go to bed,but I cant quit looking at this revolver of yours. I bet the timing is like a Elgin jeweled pocket watch & the lock up is tighter then towel head at Gitmo. Last edited by LiveSteam; 04-15-2014 at 12:16 AM.. |

These rifles MOA will open up as they heat up. A few different tricks can help this.. The newer 580s are no where near as bad though. Stick with Ruger mags. Doing your own a trigger job is fairly easy. Lots of youtube vids on this. If nothing else, drilling & tapping the trigger group housing with a #4 tap will go along way in shrinking your target groups. Not sure I would be comfortable purchasing anything that shoots 7.62X39 imported ammo with Obama & Co. on the loose Hope this helped. Last edited by LiveSteam; 04-15-2014 at 01:25 AM.. |

Got a new to me duck hunting gun. Got a Mossberg 935 in Max-4 camo. It was "used", but looks like maybe 6 shells have been thru it.

I've got the 935 turkey waterfowl combo. Put a 4" in there at least once for shits and giggles.
