The kid deserves some respect.

After todays game Im starting to believe in the guy as our quarterback. He just displayed a true testament of toughness out there and leadership.

To some people I understand its about him leading us to the playoffs and winning the superbowl in order for them to be satisfied...yada yada yada

Im not going to go by that mindset at all. I look at this game and I see the way he played and it tells me a lot about his character. We should be proud. We got a pretty good quarterback folks. That 2nd round pick we gave up was well worth it.

I think composure, toughness, and leadership are key attributes for a quarterback. Cassel has those qualities and I also love the fact that he plays with passion too.

However, I believe the number one attribute as a quarterback is the ability to respond under pressure. So now I don't want to jump the gun here and say he has that capability, but I will say, after coming back from an appendectomy and performing the way he did, is a great sign and a step in the direction towards performing well under pressure. So far so good Matt. Keep up the good work

The neg rep I am getting for this is silly. What did I say wrong? I rained on the parade? I'll piss all over your parade if this team continues in the same direction. Me allegiance is wearing thin and won't continue so blindly. Most of you still have the Royals, well I gave up on them too. THEY WONT HAVE A GOOD SEASON NEXT YEAR EITHER, but it sure is funny how some "fans" try to convince me otherwise.

Are you trying to say that something other than Cassel's total lack of talent is responsible for Cassel being a shitty quarterback?

Yet Orton comes in his first game and nearly throws for 300 and doesn't take a sack.

Damnit whosyou, the only thing that I don't agree with is your Cassel take. He played well at times against poor defense, but when it mattered he shit all over the place.

Orton looks downfield and throws routine passes to the WRs and RBs in stride, something that Cassel rarely did. His playaction is 11tybillion times better, too.

Cassel is the same as Orton in one respect: Neither one will take us to the SuperBowl.
