Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

Yes you you still need a permit to conceal carry. It's my understanding that the new law will make a more uniform code statewide so you don't have to wonder what laws and ordinances are in place in each city and county. If I have this figured wrong hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

I have the compact .22LR version. I put in the raised comb stock, and mounted a Leupold scope. Its a good little bolt gun for the money. |

I am still trying to figure out what kind of scope to go with on this little varmint getter. From what I am seeing they are dead accurate at 200 yds and pretty good out to 300. What kind of Leupold setup did you go with? |

Sold my xds 45 to help with the funeral. I can replace it in July. I'm thinking either the S&W M&P Shield 9mm or the XDS 9mm in bi tone. XDS is $150 more but man I love the stainless look on it.

http://www.leupold.com/hunting-shoot...fire-2-7x28mm/ And I mounted it with a set of Leupold Rifleman .22 RF 3/8" rings. http://www.leupold.com/hunting-shoot...38-inch-rings/ The scope was a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. Buy once, cry once. Very clear glass, and I like the fine duplex reticle. |

The shop owner marked all of them down to $13/box for me. So figure .26/round And after looking at the Savage, Marlin and Ruger side-by-side.... I would go with the Marlin or Ruger over the Savage. I just wasn't too impressed with the way the mag didn't want to go back into the rifle once I removed it. Kind of a pain in the ass the way everything fit together. |

So I went out and bought a high priced air rifle..it is awesome..it's a .22 Cal and the thing shots amazing..I have busted a ton of birds with it..it's very quiet and very accurate..I have hit paper plates at 125 yards..I will take some pictures and put it up..but it's a lot of fun and we'll worth the $180

Predator Polymag. Not cheap for a pellet, but they pack a lot of punch for 16 grains http://www.amazon.com/Predator-Polym...22+air+pellets EDIT/ It took probably 100 shots before the dieseling stopped & another 800 shots to really break in the barrel. i also took electrical tape & wrapped it around my barrel about 1/4 inch thick to help the vibration from the piston spring. If your new rifle uses compressed Nitrogen no tape needed Last edited by LiveSteam; 06-05-2014 at 07:29 PM.. |
