Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs
Well, it looks like the deal is done.
https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed Jay Glazer @JayGlazer 49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith Jay Glazer @JayGlazer Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith. |

Imagine the Cardinals having the #1 pick in the draft, trading Trevor Rosenthal and Joe Kelly for Shaun Marcum, and then drafting a catcher #1 overall.

So is Smith going to get a contract extension? This will just be the icing on the cake if they give this guy big money and let Bowe or Albert walk.

Of course he's getting extended, with what we just gave up for him? Yeah, he's your guy for 3/4 years.

I like to think of Chris Farley as every GM/Coach that has been around for the last 30 years. The roll--is the Chiefs.

I could live with this trade if they didn't like the QBs who will likely be drafted in the first round and really like a 2nd round talent, but......................................................................

2 thirds could be a stop gap solution. 2 thirds means he is the new full time face of the franchise. I'm so disappointed. |
