'White' is not an ethnicity. It's a skin color. It's not established by culture or heritage. It's established by what people see when they look at you. Zimmerman isn't white.

As I've been saying I have a good friend who's half mexican and half 'european' if you want to say that. Her last name, however, is very mexican. NOBODY would call her a 'white mexican. or 'white hispanic" She has a mexican last name and her skin is far too dark to ever be called 'white'. She's about as American as you can get though.

If Zimmerman's name were Gonzalaz and he looked EXACTLY THE SAME, nobody would call him white. The reason they're running with this 'white hispanic' thing is because he was widely reported as being white (based on his last name) and the media won't back-track and admit they were lying or simply were not informed of the facts.

It's a shining example of racism... always dividing and quantifying people by ethnicity, appearance, ect... shameful. I know you're joking but this level of media irresponsibility and overt racism is a terrible thing.

It's easy to pin all of the responsibility on the dead guy.
