Whoa. I know they said it was going to end bleak, but whoa. Without getting too spoilerific, I was not expecting the death we got tonight. Great episode.

That was one of the best episodes of the entire series.
I can't remember the last time I said "oh shit" that many times in an hour. |

One of the best episodes ever. The remaining nine episodes are going to be very interesting.

No shit. That made Doctor Zhivago look like Shrek.
The writers really seem to dislike these characters. A lot. Last edited by Frazod; 01-17-2009 at 12:06 AM.. |

And we are still up in the air about the fifth.

Starbuck seems the most obvious but there will be something to explain that away.

I'm thinking the fifth is just who they said. Prototype for the "6's"? I think Starbuck is an agent of something else. Whatever power/entity manifested itself as "Not-Leoben" in "Maelstrom", perhaps. I'm guessing that whatever orchestrated her loss and return ended up with the ovary the toasters took in season two. Ship of Lights? Do they have a Viper factory? Or a flag? It would be interesting to see how they could pull that off in the context of TNS. Looks like Deanna is pulling an "Athena". Athena of Kobol, not the toaster that had Helo's kid, that is. She stayed behind out of grief while the others boarded the Galleon and left for "Earth". Then threw herself from the mountaintops of "The Gates of Hera". Kind of ironic, considering her statement she was staying to get off the cosmic merry-go-round. Didn't see the death coming. Damn....that one hurt.

The whole Planet Graveyard thing has got me wondering. If the planet was settled entirely by Cylons, then who nuked them? Did they do themselves in? Maybe the humans nuked them to start the whole thing, thus making the Cylon attack on Caprica fair play, so to speak. And did the Cylons supplant the human population of earth, or did they settle it, meaning that the original human homeworld was not earth?
