Is anyone else totally digging this show? Perfect blend of comedy, *light* drama, and storytelling.

Captain Awesome is my favorite character

I think so many shows going on haitus for long periods of time is really hurting network tv ratings in general right now. You'd think the networks would have figured that out by now, but they haven't. If there's anything they need to do to "transform the landscape of network television" it would get cutting those breaks down as well as running new programs year round.

Those midseason breaks are horrendous and need to be stopped. I don't understand what the networks are thinking when they do that crap.

depends, shows like Burn Notice go for 8-9 episodes then takes 3 months off come back with the back 8-9 and pull great ratings.

I think Burn Notice does well because it airs during the traditional network dead time (and it's a good show...). SyFy's shows with the same philosophy do relatively well, too, while the ones that have traditional fall/spring schedules tend to struggle. Nothing else on the air is a good thing for cable series'...

I stopped watching both of those shows. When they finally announced that they were coming back after the long break, I realized that I didn't miss them.

Yeah, but I really enjoyed them and was looking forward to their return. When they announced APRIL for both shows I was pissed.

Downside to Season 4's return. Producer Matt Miller left earlier for a new show but now Producer/Writer/Jeffster creator Ali Adler is leaving for ABC's No Ordinary Family.

That is what happens when the network leaves you hanging in the wind. Good people will look for new work if they aren't sure what their fate is with their current job.
