The MIA Heat Show Thread

LA will be dethroned. The LAC Lake Show will be dead. So it's time to create a thread to follow the new dynasty.

Going on tour starting this October.

I pass then. There is no need to get rid of him for Paul at this point when there is Blake and Fisher for a few years.

Paul is a great talent, but i rather keep with Bynum. I think the dude is going to be a beast in a few years.

Big men with injury issues early rarely get over those injury issues as they age.

If I had the choice between building around Paul or Bynum in the future, I'd take Paul.

If I were Paul, I'd consider putting the Thunder on my list.

He and Durant, along with a big body like Aldrich to clog the middle would be a more diverse combination than the LeBron/Wade/Bosh team.

If there is an option to flip Bynum for Paul, that's an absolute no brainer. The latter is a far more gifted player, and while it's generally easier to find a high-quality PG than it is to find a high-quality big, in this case we're talking about a rare talent.

The lakers also need to consider if they will use the triangle after Phil leaves.

If not they need a much better point guard. And if they can do a deal they should.

And if they could trade an often injured center for a stud point guard u should. Paul is only 25 too.

Eh, Westbrook is an up and coming PG. Good shooter and probably one of the fastest players in the league. OKC wouldnt want Paul.

Combined championships on the current roster: 2

You can keep crowing them. Make sure you don't vanish before June.

Free-agent forward Matt Barnes(notes) has reached agreement on a two-year, $3.6 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Barnes will likely sign the contract on Friday. The deal will pay him $1.7 million next season and give him a player option for $1.9 million in 2011-12.

The Cleveland Cavaliers had guaranteed $7 million over two years with a team option for a third season, but Barnes wanted more guaranteed money to sign with a non-championship contender. Cleveland refused to improve its offer and ultimately was willing to let Barnes go to a lower bidder.

The Lakers also signed veteran center Theo Ratliff(notes) on Thursday.

Barnes announced earlier in the week he was signing with the Toronto Raptors, but a sign-and-trade deal that would have paid him $9 million over two years fell apart.

Good depth signing. Odom won't have to do as much next year.
