Raiders Trade for Carson Palmer

Per Rotoworld, the Raiders are close to acquiring Carson Palmer.

On my phone, so no link, but what the hell do the Raiders have left to trade?

They don't even have decent years. They won 8 games last year and acted like they won the Super Bowl. A great thing to do is to sweep your division. But an embarrassing thing to do is you become the first team in NFL history to do so and not make the playoffs. That's the Raiders for you.

You would rather have Haley fired and have Cassel for next season's starter? Because whether Haley is fired or not, Cassel will be here next season.....unfortunately.

Heh, I just got off the phone with a buddy of mine who is a die hard Raider fan, to put it mildly, he is pissed off. I wish I could have recorded and posted the call.

But it was Nick Wrong that said it....so who knows.

I do know that Raiders have a bye week after this coming Sun game. So they may just use that to their advantage and just let him learn and get into shape because one things for sure.....he looked like a cancer patient on that signing photo. Was that even real?

They'd be MUCH better off trading their 1st(2012) and 1st and 3rd (2013) for the #1 overall pick in order to draft Luck.

Instead....they waste their 1st(s) on ****ING CARSON BROKE DICK PALMER!!!!!

Thought the death of Al Davis would completely do away with these kinda moves.....guess we were all terribly wrong. This is absolutely hilarious.....more than the DEN Tim Tebow first rd selection.

Uh....it's called having an opinion. Do you take a weak wait and see approach on everything, or do you make a call every once in a while?

And yes. We were elated to have won the games we did. We understood we were not a playoff football team, so coming off 79 losses in the last 10 years, sweeping the division WAS our Superbowl. It defies belief that a Chief fan is going to talk smack about our team after losing to us both at home, AND on the road, then going "one and done" in the playoffs. WTF do you have to talk smack about?

Anything can happen. I have no problem though saying that if he does not take the Raiders to a Super Bowl this trade is a monumental failure. This in no way is a "sit on the fence" trade.

Well I saw a shitload of panic on these boards after getting drilled...what was it, 80-10 in your first 2 games? But I knew your team wasn't that bad. I knew you would pull it together. I never once thought you were the worst team in football even though it appeared that way prior to week three. So yea, I always take a "wait and see" approach instead of making quick judgments.
