I think it would be unrealistic to expect Manning to stay much longer, but I hope he does.

Can't say I understand the criticism about Tyshawn pulling that out on his last dunk. Why would he want to risk getting fouled in that situation? With a dunk, the worst thing that can happen is that Purdue makes a miracle three and you go to OT. If he gets fouled and misses a FT, you can still lose in regulation.

I'm happy we won an ugly game.
Same here... I was relieved when they were only down 2 late in the first half, when it felt like they should be down 15, and then frustrated for most of the 2nd half. I felt they had the game, too, except they were throwing away just as many opportunities to get over the hump as Purdue was to pull away.

I don't have high expectations for this year, and knew Purdue could present a problem with their 3 point shooting, so I wasn't all that worked up over it. An EE appearance and another game against UNC would be great, but I know NC State has to be extremely motivated at the chance to play UNC in the EE... should be fun.

We struggled all game to get the 1 point lead. You take the 3 point lead and then if worst comes to worst, they make a full court pass to make a miracle 3 pointer to send it to overtime.

That's my thinking. You can't play tentatively there, you have to take the basket.

I don't know why, but Teahan makes me rage every time I watch a KU game. No player in any sport has ever had this effect on me.

Morningstar was much worse for me.

Teahan = 1 year
Morningstar = 10 years, an entire pro career at KU.

Normally I don't yell at the tv or player. But last night I caught myself calling CT a bundle of sticks a time or two because he missed a couple of wide open 3s.

Anyone questioning that game-ending dunk is an idiot. First, he was in a full sprint, so he couldn’t risk looking up at the clock and analyzing different scenarios. Second, its easy for people watching the game to see how far ahead of everyone he was, but out there on the court, it always feels like someone is breathing down your neck, so he didn’t know he had any chance of ending the game.

It’s a minor local talking point the day after a win, but if he would have passed up the sure points and we ended up in OT or with a loss, it would be national news.

I was extremely happy he took the sure points, we couldn't lose in regulation at that point without a Major miracle.
