Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

The Promag stuff is decent, but their customer service was outstanding.
I ordered the buttstock from Amazon and it was missing the cheek riser. I called Promag and I received a new cheek riser within 4 days, no questions asked. Fantastic. |

Heh...only short gun I own is a desert eagle, trying to decide on a second. Want stopping power coupled with ease of handle. Going to keep it in my vehicle.

I got all kinds of crap but the one I take on the road with me is a Glock 20 10mm. I just don't trust a 9mm to get the job done but a 10mm will. The kick isn't bad at all and the round packs a punch. Think just over .357 magnum knockdown with a lot more rounds.

Any will do the job with the right ammo. I own more than a few pistols, and the XDS 45 is what I choose to carry 95% of the time. .357 is next on my "list". |

I know a lot of people are against these open carry demonstrations, but if you're gonna do one, this seems like the right way to do it. Apparently, a lot of folks on the street supported them.

I suppose so...they aren't belligerent or anything. I just don't know what they think they are demonstrating. It's already legal to open carry.

I wasn't suggesting whether or not I support these demonstrations. But I can see their reasoning for it. They do it to educate the public. Did you see how many people they talked to who didn't realize that you could open carry and that you didn't need a permit or to register a gun? IMO, the media in this country has made it so that people think these are requirements. They are just trying to educate the public. This is a bold way to do it.

Gun nuts on the loose in Missouri and Kansas now
Yeah, it's as bad as the title suggests. Please post comments on this in the thread I posted in DC.

My XDs 9mm just shipped. I should have it in a couple of days. I was thinking of getting an Alien Gear IWB holster. Does anyone have experience with them?

I asked about Alien Gear holsters awhile ago but got no reply. The only thing I can gather is that it takes several weeks for them to make your holster and get it shipped to you.

I just received my Alien Gear a few weeks ago, Cloak Tuck 2.0. Granted its my only holster, but its pretty comfortable and seems like its good quality. I have the shell for my Bersa that came with it, but I'm going to order the shell for my XDS probably tonight so that I can switch them out when I feel like it. It did take a few weeks to get it, but I like that it came with a little kit of extra spacers, screws and the Allen key. Plus I figured it was worth a try for the price. Overall I'm very pleased with Alien Gear.
