Welcome to 2013! Now get your ass in top physical condition!
**From the 2012 Thread** If you want to get back into lifting, or need a new lifting routine, START HERE: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wi...inner_Programs If you have questions about the SS programs, look here: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started. Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE: http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point. |

I've been watching my sodium. Not too much has been consumed. I've been drinking a ton of water the last couple days though.

Can I ask...why exactly do you want to lose 10 pounds in 16 days?

Day 11:
Took a few more reference pics today so I can compare them to the post-carb binge tomorrow. Workout: Soccer game. Tough game. Played all 50 minutes of indoor. I was exhausted, but not nearly as much as last week. Maybe it's because I doubled my caffeine dose. Nutrition: Just not hungry this evening. Might wake up in the middle of the night and take a shake or something. 8 oz shrimp + 16 oz chicken breast Totals: 717 cals, 2g carb, 15g fat, 139g protein |

1) I don't want more size. It's detrimental to soccer.
2) even if I did want more size, I play too much to really put any on. 3) maybe if I could never play soccer again, I could really grow lol |

"De-load" day this morning... always feels a bit uninspired. How important are de-load days, anyway? I've never done them prior to this bench program.

Every 6 weeks I do an entire de-load week.
I stay active during that week but I try to keep it to long walks, swimming, biking, rowing or rock climbing (no heavy weights). I also like to squeeze in a massage that week. |

Crap! My legs are absolutely fried and it's OH squat day at crossfit. I guess I'll be going to my other gym today for some chest/back.

Very. You can go to the gym and do some light weights (maximum of 50% of 1RM) for a few sets, but don't burn out, don't go to failure and don't stress your body too much. It's beats doing nothing if you absolutely HAVE to go to the gym. If not, just sit back and relax. You won't lose ANYTHING in a week.
