This tweet hurts far more than any announcing Anderson's hire.

I didn't catch the guest, but 610 had someone on that said its known in college basketball circles that you shouldn't even call Marshall for less than 3 million, simply because he's got a top 10 recruiting class this year, will dominate the Valley and something along the lines of Texas or some other marque job will open up down the road.

It really started with the Haith hire ChiTown. I was strictly against it knowing he was a crap coach as I watched quite a bit of Miami basketball. He could recruit but that was it. X and Os he was a mess. When Nestor left Mizzou you saw what happened. They regressed. I dang near cancelled the tickets when Haith got the job. Now we hire a D2 guy, I don't care that he went to Mizzou. What I care about is my donations and ticket money was not put towards getting the best coach available. They talked to Marshall and could not come to an agreement. To me that means they were most likley cheap. I'll just put this extra money into the kids college fund and he just as happy.

4/28/14, 5:03 PM Mizzou was not going to pay its basketball coach more than its football coach (3.1).That capped search in high 2 mil which took out many. |

This hire pisses off 2 fanbases, the Mizzou fanbase and UCM fanbase.

As I said, "What is the worst thing that can happen for Missouri basketball?" This was it. Hamas's Last Theorem rides again.
Enjoy the shit avalanche; I've watched my last Mizzou basketball game until Alden is fired.

It would be interesting to know if they knew Anderson was the guy on Friday, but waited until the BoC meeting today to get approval, thus missing last weekends sanctioned recruiting visits.
