Yeah, I know, it's the players. Whether it's Peters\Smith or DJ, Hali, Houston, Scandrick, Nelson, Ford, Hitches, Berry, Sorenson...doesn't matter

It's not a coinkydink that the defensive coordinator we have has managed to coach defenses that consistently piss away double-digit leads for 5 years now. It's all the players.....

Edit: After further review this is yet another historical type choke by a Sutton defense.

His notables:

2 of the 4 biggest blown leads in playoff history (Ten & Indy)
Only team to score 50+ points and lose
And now this one where this is only the 4th or 5th time in the last 1040+ games where a team blew a 14pt lead in the last 5 min and the only team to do it this season

If it weren't for a slew of penalties by LA we'd never have scored that last TD...and yes the D was pathetic.

Well Derrick Johnson got old and injured so we had to part ways with him and now we're not very good at MLB. Berry hasn't played in 2 seasons now basically. So right there is 2 great players who were leaders on the defense that we've missed this season and last season. Peters was pretty good at locking down his side of the field and grabbing turnovers and now we have Scandrick over there who just consistently gets owned.

The defense is a dumpster fire, that’s not new, but it is also a continued theme that Andy Reid’s #1 offense can’t protect the lead with a game clinching drive when given the chance.

I agree the play calling sucked but damn.....their defense showed up on the road in a short week and were down by 14. They stopped us. Okay, so our defense needs to go out and do the same.

I hate Rivers, but the throw Rivers made on 4th and 8 under pressure and about to get drilled was amazing... not sure many QBs could do that, and not sure Rivers would be able to ever do it again.

Sutton's defense has never really been that good.....the years the stats were good the Chiefs played weaked schedules and played a slew of back up QB's.

Sutton should have been fired as soon as the Indy playoff game ended.

They were legit penalties... obvious on replay. Unlike the one on the Chargers last drive.

Really. Whenever I start getting worked up about how we probably lost HFA, I realize it wouldn't matter anyway. This D can get beat by anyone, anywhere.
