One of our local insiders says KC interested in Reid

Hello,

I don't post here much, but I'm an Eagles fan. I share the misery of a terrible 2012 season with all of you. Anyway, one of our local insiders(that is very good friends with Andy Reid) reported that while everyone thinks San Diego is the leading choice for Reid, it probably won't happen. He said keep an eye out for the Chiefs. They like Andy Reid and are interested in him as the coach.

I was curious to see what KC fans would think of getting Reid. If you have any questions about Reid, fire away.

take care

3 DCs in 4 years

just like the 4 OCs in 4 years.

It's awful GMing/hiring/demoting anyway you look at it. Bunch of Pats tree nonsense and there is no valid argument that any of it is good for business

I don't care what he says you can tell how unprepared his team was this year that he needs some time off.

Andy Reid is one of the best coaches in the NFL and we'd be damn lucky to have him. He'd be great for geno smith.

We need an attacking 34 D. I hate this zone soft coverage shit. We had Carr who was a good press corner. Should of kept him along with flowers and attack more and we would be ok

The OP poster already clarified in a second post that Mornhinweg would now come with him...

While I don't mind Reid, I feel the game may have passed him up. Eagles fans have been so tired of his constant boring OL/DL first round picks, and his inability to change offensive or defensive philosophies.

Add in his off the field family issues, and its a very risky hire.

**** Reid, Cowherd and Ariens. I'd take Gruden maybe.

Reluctance to run the ball when it's needed to balance a gameplan
Age
Would he want to change the defense to a 4-3

Positives
He would be a proponent to resigning Albert and Bowe long term and he would want a quarterback with that top pick and he did wonders with McNabb.

I'd be perfectly fine with the hiring of Andy Reid...but I prefer Arians or Cowher if they are interested.
This. Reid needs a year off because of the death of his son. I don't know if he will ever be the same coach. I would rather have Arians or Jay Gruden, but especially Cowher. I would even consider Cowher for HC/GM.

I'd be ok w/Andy Reid. The guy was great most of his career w/the Eagles. No coach can last more than 10 years in the NFL w/the same team. I saw the same thing here with Coughlin. Then he leaves, gets a fresh start and 2 Super bowls.

Plus I'd definitely put that guy in the 'innovative' offensive minded side. He's not afraid to try new stuff.

This is how I feel. Reid probably wouldn't top my list, but I think he's a good coach that can undo a lot of the damage that Haley and Roleo did.

I think Reid will build another winner.
