I think then it would be a no-brainer. If they are all available in the 2nd or 3rd, there are going to be some fun discussions going on in the KC War Room.

I think in the second, you probably take the best CB available, unless of course something crazy happened and Floyd or one of the top notch DT's were to fall.

IMO, we have to come out of this draft with starters at QB, CB, and ILB/DE.

It's interesting that Reid is sitting off to the side while Dorsey and the scouts pow-wow.

One guy i'm interested in seeing what happens to is Arthur Brown from Kstate.

IMO, he would fit pretty nicely next to DJ.

He'd be a great 2nd round pick as well. Fast, can cover/play all 3 downs IIRC.

Yeah, he's a little undersized, IIRC, but he's pretty fearless and can cover. I tend to think undersized in there that can cover > oversized that can't run.

Both.

It would depend on what do with Poe in base fronts, but it could look like Poe(3-tech) Powe/Ratliff if released(NT) and Floyd at the 5-tech in our new 3-4 (assuming it is more 1-gap and like Houston's) We could play a 2-gap hybrid ala the Ravens/Jets which would put our DEs in a 4-tech in our odd front (most familiar looking 3-4 package)

You could also put Poe at NT and have Floyd play the 5 or 3. Additionally, our sub package is going to put Poe at NT IMO and Floyd replacing Bailey/Jackson at the 3 tech.

I think he can play either. He's 6'3 300 and very athletic. Good against run & can collapse the pocket & penetrate on pass plays. He's probably *best* utilized playing 1-gap.

TBH, I don't really want to just get "big" upfront. I would rather go with a guy who might be a little on the small side, who's extremely athletic and high motor.

Enough with this stack and shed big strong football player bullshit.

It is fine to have a few players on the roster like that but IMO, it is a poor philosophy to start players like that/emphasize your defensive scheme around that.

In other news, I'm still super pissed off about the Cards ****ing us over on getting Ray Horton. I saw a guy in a Cards shirt today and thought about how awesome our D would be from just 1 year of Ray Horton. **** the Cardinals.
