After hedging for a few days, Browns coach Rob Chudzinski has made a change.

Per Tony Grossi of ESPNCleveland.com, Chudzinski announced that quarterback Jason Campbell would start this week in place of Brandon Weeden.

If there was ever any doubt that the Browns were ready to hit reset at the position this offseason, this should clear it up.

Campbell was leapfrogged by Brian Hoyer earlier this season, and if they’re willing to replace Weeden at this point, he’s clearly not part of their future thinking.

Campbell started a game for the Bears in 2012, and has also played some replacement-level football for the Raiders and Redskins.

He’s the 20th Browns starting quarterback since 1999, while he sets the stage for No. 21.

Norv has this offense slinging it all over the field. Campbell & Norv know this team.

Chiefs are in for a passing game featuring a decent TE that likes to run seams up the middle.

they have trouble with offenses like this, I bet they struggle in this one too.

I don't think you should ever think a win will be easy, it's the NFL, Jacksonville gave the Broncos a game for a while, but your reasons for concern are weird.

Norv and and Campbell know the Chiefs uniforms. They don't know this team, or how they're coached. I really hope you're right, and Turner and Campbell say, don't worry guys, we've beat the Chiefs before, we'll use the same game plan we used in 2011. It worked then, and I checked this is the same team, in the same stadium as last time.

the problem is the Browns dont have a QB that can make the passes needed in the offense to the players that actually open it up (Cameron, Gordon, etc)

they did have that QB for 2 games.

CB Smith, Devito and A Jordan are new to this defense, that is all. they are better, yadayada, but Norv & Campbell know these guys -- they know our weakness is Flowers' lacking speed and they do have speed. Norv also had Gates and he attacked this defense regularly using Gates.

But that's okay. Just keep thinking the Chiefs are unbeatable
