RUMOR - Bob Dylan replaces Beyoncé as Super Bowl halftime performer, or so says Tim H
http://www.avclub.com/articles/bob-d...line%3Adefault
By Marah Eakin January 30, 2013 Bob Dylan has replaced Beyoncé as the Super Bowl halftime performer—or at least Tim Heidecker says he has. According to the ex-Rolling Stone editor and Tim And Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! star, the folk warbler has replaced the pop star after her inauguration lip synching scandal left the country—and sponsor Pepsi—so shocked and saddened that the only cure was a notoriously eccentric 71-year-old. Reminding the world that nothing screams contact sports like an old man in a floppy bow tie, Dylan even (supposedly) dropped a new single around the announcement. “Running Out The Clock” was (allegedly) recorded around the time of Dylan’s Infidels album in 1983, but hasn’t been released until now. Thank heaven the singer had this song chock full of football metaphors just sitting around, gathering dust on an archives shelf somewhere. Here’s hoping he’s got a bunch of old dance moves in storage, too. |

Another old washed up performance at the SB?
snore... I usually so drunk by this time in the day....I could give a shit about the HT show, I can't remember the last time the HT performance was good? Some said Prince's was good. I can't remember.

You've got to be pretty dang gullible to, never mind believe it, but to even go as far as to say "this is a rumor, gosh I hope its not true"
Its obviously not true. No one was "shocked and saddened" by her lip-synching at the inaugural. If this were to, in some bizarre alternate universe, happen, we'd have groups screaming racism and protesting the NFL.

the best half time show in a decade was Prince.
and I'm not even a huge prince fan / didn't expect to even watch halftime. it was awesome IMO Bono should be up next in the shitty music /overrated halftime performer rotation.

People actually watch the halftime show?
I take that opportunity to step out back and hit the "wisdom shed" for some fresh air. |

More people watched the halftime show last year than the actual game. It's a huge moneymaker. It ain't going anywhere.

I was cool with Springsteen, he had energy to spare... but yep, i've yet to enjoy a halftime show as much as i did Prince, he's got something for just about all tastes, he can do soul and he can rip a rock riff like nobodys business.

I couldn't ****ing care less.
Even if they DON'T lip sync, it's a ****ing medley of hits with 30-second excerpts from a dozen songs. I have ADD and even I think it's worthless. |

Today I learned that not only do people watch the halftime show, but they actually care about who is performing in it.
