Book excursions through the cruise line. You can get the same excursion cheaper through 3rd party operators but if you are late the boat doesnt wait. The excursions booked through the cruise line are late, the boat will wait. And shit happens, We had a guy have a heart attack during snorkling. Carnival will be $200-$300 cheaper than the other crusie lines. **** smuggling liquor on board. Getting those frozen drinks and sitting out on the deck and watching the ocean, sunsets, sunrises, the shore are worth it. Save your pennies and enjoy the onboard drinks.

you need to go without weed for a week or just smoke on land. You get caught you are in a foreign country. Who knows what the drug laws are. Talk about playing russian roulette with your life.

A 3-4 night cruise would be about all I could handle, being on a ship for a week is not my cup of tea. I know you get to get out, but when you do all it is is people wanting your money. Though the food is pretty damn awesome.

Highly recommend swimming with the stingrays in Grand Cayman and if you're interested in booking with a local rather than through the cruise ship lemme know and I'll send you the name of the folks we used. About half the price and much less crowded. We also did Dunns River Falls in Jamaica and would recommend it as well. |

Oh, and for getting booze on board your best bet for smuggling is rum runners, but if caught they'll take them and you're out of luck. If you try to smuggle an unopened bottle they'll confiscate it but you'll get it back at the end of the cruise.
You can order bottle through Bon Voyage as well. It's expensive as hell (paid $38 for a 1L bottle of Jim Beam) but it's in your cabin when you get there. You can also take a bottle of wine (750ml) per person in your carry on. |

The Mrs talked about a cruise next year after our daughter graduates since her family would come to visit. She dropped that idea and instead is going to take a trip back to her country for a visit.

Getting the inside cabin was a mistake, upgrade to the window view. Well worth the money.

Disagree. Only thing I ever did in the cabin was sleep and... well, you know. There are plenty of views all over the ship. If the view is important to you then upgrade all the way to your own private balcony. Then you'll spend more time in your room.
