I will be in KC. I have a friend whose apartment will be empty near downtown KC. I will be staying there instead of having to pay for a hotel. I'm driving up that Friday, 8/15. I will be going to the Chiefs/Cardinals preseason game that Saturday, so let me know if any of you are going. If anyone would like to get together for dinner, drinks, hang out, etc while I'm there, that would be awesome.

The P&L District has a big screen outside, but all I've ever seen on it is college basketball and P&L ads, so I don't know if it's something that's normally on for baseball.

For a good sports bar atmosphere, I'd stick with the 810 Zone. For something new, P&L.

That place looks awesome. Good prices, and Friday night specials are Red Bull and Smirnoff drinks. Hmmmm....

Is that in the P&L District? I really like the looks of it.

It's technically not part of the P&L District, but it's a block away. It opened a month or two before the Sprint Center opened, iirc. I'm not a P&L District expert, but it's probably one of the best options downtown based on your criteria.

It's on the southeast corner of Truman Road (15th) and Grand. The Sprint Center is across Truman Road on the northeast corner, and the P&L District is across Grand from the Sprint Center. Link
