So if you're gonna' replace him, it better be with someone who can throw long, and throw long well.

Otherwise; you are NOT elevating this Offense. Period.
I'd rather him overthrowing these types of balls than undethrowing them like he has been doing. Plus, he seems to be getting more comfortable on the rolling out and throwing. Look at the PERFECT pass he threw to Tony G. or the pass to ....who was it.... oh yeah! Billy Franklin!

Oh he has all the potential in the world to be great throwing 40 yards or less, but they need to step up the rest of the passing game. Darling had that route nailed beautifully, and it should have been a touchdown.

Once again; no bus-chuck, but improvement needed.

How about you re-watch the Indy playoff game, last years Indy game, this years Jets game and you will see a coach that quit.... When the pressure is on, Herm will go right back to his play not to win style.... Lets see how things play out when we are 9-7 and playing on the road in the playoffs again. I would bet you 100 casino bucks Herm would rather punt and play defense then actually go for the kill shot to win the game...

I agree. No bus-chuck, but he needs to learn from that. I mean, I've seen a lot of QB's miss that type of throw, but I just don't want to see it consistently missed in the future.

I love how people think that Thigpen should be playing up to the level of an NFL veteran.

Christ people he's still learning the ropes of the game. We've wanted to rebuild with a young QB and we finally found a guy who can play and at least stay healthy.

Thigpen has done a lot more than Croyle has ever done IMO.

Is Thigpen going to overthrow and underthrow WR's ???? Yes, and may so a lot. But he's learning. This is what we all wanted yet people here are still bitching.

Not to mention we don't exactly have a Pro Bowl set of WR's to work with. We have a 2nd yr player with a lot of promise who still drops balls (a lot), we have a 2nd rd castoff that can't stay healthy, a 3rd rd pick WR and Suckass Webb

We have a HOF TE, but even he can't catch the ball 20+ times a game.

Thigpen's getting better, and it doesn't just happen overnight.

Petro was saying on 810 that the knock against Franklin coming out of college was that he had problems catching the ball. WTF? Is this true? He definitely whiffed on that pass play.

A receiver who can't catch is called a defensive back.

Well to be honest, I thought he should've caught the fuggin ball too.
Hit him dead in the chest.

Can't blame Herm on this one.

You didn't answer the question, you just went back (again!) to the Indy game last year.

Do you think Herm quit on the team yesterday?

Unless I briefly lost consciousness while listening to the post-game presser, Herm didn't say two words about Will Franklin after yesterday's game.
