Do we classify Dwayne Bowe as a #1 receiver now?

45 catches, 715 yards, 11 touchdowns.

No opposing receiving threat, today Moeaki was out, and he's obviously handicapped at quarterback.

The drops have disappeared.

His blocking is excellent.

Committed and has kept his yap shut.

I think he's arrived.

Hell NO!!!
No-Show will play like a No.1 "consistently"(this is the key word here) when LFG gets here to KC next yr. Notice I said play like a No.1 because once LFG gets here he will be the No.1

This will be the only way No-Show plays like a No.1 because until he gets some serious competitive heat under his ass he will underachieve and more often than not break our hearts in those close games.

Wait, why is Moeaki grouped with Cassel and Chambers? Moeaki is actually a weapon.

FWIW, Bowe was tied for #1 TD receptions...He may just lead the league at the end of the week. Pending Gates and the Giants Hicks and how they play.

It's kind of a stat that hasn't really been mentioned on the board.

He's at least starting too look like a 1st round WR.

He's still a rookie. He's not yet the kind of threat defensive coordinators truly respect at a level that's going to distract from Bowe.

I dont think the question is "is he a good WR?"

Obviously he is...and has been for a long time. The question is "Is he a TRUE elite #1 wr"?

Even #2 WR's are good in the NFL. #2 WR's are starters. I think there are people in this thread who don't quite grasp the question.

Would Bowe be #1 on a majority of the winning teams in the NFL? I think that is the question....He is getting very close...But I wouldn't say yes JUST yet. We have played a lot of crappy teams/defenses this season.

Clearly he is a starter on virtually any team....but that is not the question as I am reading it.

I don't think anyone here is arguing about his productivity, he just needs to be a little more clutch. Thats all.

*Don't forget, the dude did cost us two games this year.

With a shadow of a doubt the guy is a starter, but thats not the issue. Im still pondering the thought of whether he can perform under pressure. Deliver when it matters most.
