Chiefs Would You be OK With Trading Bowe For a 1st? - Page 5

Lets say a contract cant be worked out because Pioli and Bowe are too far apart and it looks like Bowe will walk after this year or the only way to retain him is to tag him again.

Bowe has a 1100 yard season with 8-10 TDs and Baldwin has just over 1000 yards and has 7-9 TDs...would you be OK with trading Bowe to a team like Cleveland, NY or Miami for a single first round pick before next year starts?

The first round pick would fall into the 15-20 range.

Who are we kidding? SNR is right: Pioli would just draft another D-Lineman no matter where the pick would be.

Sign him. We are never going to draft a first round QB.

I don't give a **** about tom brady or that fact that stanzi was drafted in the fifth. He has a better release, is more calm, has better footwork, and throws a better ball than Cassel. I want to see him play.

That was getting traded for the second time because of being a malcontent, too.

When he was traded from Denver, Miami gave up 2 second round picks even though he was punting balls in practice to show his ability to be a cancer.

You're missing the point. Luck is a QB you trade up for. RGIII is a QB you trade up for.

Bowe was given the non-exclusive tag this offseason. 31 teams had the opportunity to trade for him and give up a R1 pick.

No one stepped up. Why would anyone think a team would do so now?

Thanks to the new CBA and the value of Day One picks compared to a few years ago, the days of trading 1st round picks is over, IMO. At least trading 1st round picks for players. You'll still see teams give them up for draft picks.

You're going to see more and more deals like Brandon Marshall's, where a team is willing to give up multiple mid-round picks.

1st round picks are more valuable than they've ever been - teams are going to hang on to them unless it nets them a high pick (RGIII) in return.
