The Ravens throw the ball down the field. Joe Flacco was tied for 2nd in the NFL in completions over 20 yards.

And in his limited time, Colin Kaepernick had double the completions (19 vs 9) over 20 yards that Alex Smith did.

He had the separated shoulder in 2007, reinjured in training camp in 2008, second surgery (I think they screwed up the first surgery). Injured his non-throwing arm a couple of years ago. And the concussion last year. I wouldn't think of him as injury prone. With the separated shoulder, it was like being hit by a freight train. I think pretty much any QB would have been severely injured taking that hit.

where did I say that the Ravens didn't throw DEEP? Can you argue with me that they aren't a run first team who uses the playaction to set up passing. And yes they do throw deep. They had two really good deep threats in Jacoby Jones, and Torrey Smith. Do you see those type of players on the CHIEFS right now, and did you see them in San Francisco last year? no, you did not, and no you don't. Alex Smith doesn't mind throwing deep. he has been throwing deep with accuracy and precision to Vernon Davis for 6 years. He has never had a problem with Connecting with Vernon. If you give him a deep threat, he will take advantage of it. No, it is not his strong suit, but he can do it. YOu are just so blinded by Alex Smith Hate, that logic eludes you. Alex has said many times, that he would rather throw short, and give his guys a chance to make plays. Which, with Crabtrees shiftiness and run after the catch ability, it makes sense. Alex Smith plays to his strengths. There is nothing wrong with knowing yourself, and doing that. I don't know why this is so difficult for you.
