7 Reasons We Beat The Cowboys....3 Why We Lose

1. Arrowhead will be crazy. I know there will be a fair amount of Cowboy fans, but Arrowhead will be rocking again Sunday. Not since the Monday night game at the opening of the new stadium have I been so excited about a game at Arrowhead. 60,000 of my pals will be there as well.

2. Mr. Houston. Doug Free is not going to have any idea what to with Houston. Another 3 sack day is a high probability. They could double Houston....see #3.

3. Mr. Dontari Poe. Their rookie center is going to get a real lesson come Sunday. They better give him some help or he is going finish what the Giants started, and break Romo in half

4. Alex Smith. Alex Smith may not be the second coming of Peyton Manning, but he is a great game manager. He is not going to give the Cowgirls 6 turnovers like the Giants did.

5. Jamal Charles. The Cowboys handled the crappy RBs for the Giants, but JC is a totally different animal. If they play the Tampa II style D they did against the Giants they are going to be running around chasing the back of JC's #25 jersey all afternoon.

6. The Cowgirls will not run against our front seven, no way. So this means Romo will very likely be chucking it 50+. See #2 and #3 above. Chiefs going to have a few parties with Mr. Romo.

7. Special Teams. Special teams have been, well, special. Absent one missed punt block. Toub is probably the best ST coach ever in the NFL. The Bears always had great ST and he is making the Chiefs ST very special.

1. Jason Witten. This is by far the most important player for us to keep in check. We can't allow him to go crazy. Historically we have been very, very bad against TEs. I think those days are behind us, but Witten is a stud and produces against everybody. He will get his yards and maybe a score. We just have to limit his production to a reasonable level.

2. Dez Bryant. This guy is capable of being unstoppable. Up to this point his production has been below his potential. Arrowhead does not need to be his coming out party.

3. Damarcus Ware vs Fisher. Fisher will face a much tougher task than he did against the Jags. Me must play solid and not get whipped more than a couple of times.

I'll take Chiefs in close one!!!!!!!

A big factor in this game is going to be if we have to play from behind at all, or get stuck in poor field position.

That 7 yards per completion stuff was fine against the Jags. We were on a short field all day, and the defense had that Jags offense in a deathgrip all game.

Being down in the game and needing to go 80 yards, we're going to need a little more in the gameplan that just one deep pass that gets attempted, dropped, and then the deep game is abandoned altogether.

Reid's not really a smashmouth guy, but Charles is going to be key for us to win a lot of games this year. If we get a lead, we need to keep the offense on the field so that these savages that we field on defense don't get gassed too early.

A lot of plays that went to Charles out in the flats didn't exactly work out, and Id bet good money that had we just handed, or tossed the ball to Charles, the play would've been far more successful. Reid just loves to call pass plays and I get that, but a lot of those flats plays are just handoffs that are thrown.

We had that one that Alex blew the throw on and it ended up being a backward pass, incomplete for a loss of 6 yards. Just hand Charles the ball there.

Anyway, if we get a lead, we need to keep the O on the field and let our D get some rest. If we get behind, we need a little bit more than flat passes and 5 yard ins in the passing game.

We knew the spin would be coming from the Alex haters. The punt block was probably Alex's fault too.
We wouldn't have had to punt of Smith had done better on third downs.

The cowboys could be very good. Their oline is obviously much, much improved and for the first time since Parcells they have coaches who prioritize effort and fundamentals. Alex Collins seems he's inclined to do well against cover 2 but i'll have to look and see what his previous 2 yrs stats are against similar defenses.

Reid knows Garrett very well, Romo is injured, and Bryant is injured - That and the home field should be reason enough to pick the Chiefs.
Ware moves around, he doesn't just stay at the RDE spot. He'll be facing Fisher quite a bit.

I firmly believe that Dallas will put 7-8 in the box and stuff the line, daring us to beat them with the pass. They have been historically good against the run.

If we can open with a lot of play action with completions, I think we win.

Second, we MUST, MUST, MUST get to Romo often and early. If he has good protection for most of the day, we will be in trouble. Dez Bryant and Whitten scare the shit out of me running all over the place.

The home crowd WILL be like a 12th man and I think a factor. So everyone going do their best!

That's my 2 cents

The Chiefs O-line is going to be tested by Dallas' front 7, especially early. Because they are beat up, if they can wear them down they'll be ok, but that is my biggest area of concern. Dalls' wide receivers are a lot better than what Jax displayed and will be a much more realistic test to find out what the secondary truly will be this year.

The middle of Dallas' line is young and unproven and I'm thinking the Chiefs front 7 will do some work and make Romo feel like he fell under a stampede.

I'm cautiously optimistic based on what I saw yesterday, but this is a game the Chiefs have to win to show me that they're significantly better.
