Can I just enjoy the ride?

I know, we are perfectly built just good enough for a 1st round loss. We have huge holes.
But can I just enjoy the wins when they come? Can you?

Not winning a championship in 40+ years tends to do that.

I've heard a lot of people saying this is just like the 90s Chiefs teams. That's cool with me. I had a great ****ing time as a Chiefs fan in the 90s. Obviously I want different results in the postseason, but if we're continually getting to the playoffs I'm a happy ****in guy.

The 90's were a failure. Why? No championships, period. Basically you are the target audience of the Hunts throughout the 90's.

I've been through the years where we kicked ass and got bounced early in the postseason. Hell, maybe this approach of doing just enough is the key, who knows? I'm just going to enjoy this ride one week at a time. /cliche

We're all loving it, but we're also ready to go below and consider patching some holes (if it's possible)...

It is possible to enjoy the season and realize that there are things we need to improve on in order to win in February.

Those preseason expectations are out the window. It's time to move past the "beat shitty teams, beat half the mediocre teams, play good teams fairly close" to "how can we beat other elite teams in the playoffs and win a Super Bowl".

Up to this point, our offense hasn't been consistently good enough. The last two games have been improvements, but until they do it for 4 quarters people will be pissed. Obviously, they aren't gonna put 40 on everyone, but they're missing too many plays, leaving big play opportunities on the filed. Obviously, Alex is overthrowing wrs and that can't happen.

But I'm pretty sure our hc, who's a. Good offensive mind, realizes that as we have been seei the ball go downfield more.

Hey, I'm enjoying it. But I'm not going to let myself get so invested that I'm all OMGWTF when they get knocked out early due to having a below average offense.

Maybe we really can make a 2000 Ravens kind of run. we'll see, and I'll just keep enjoying it as it happens.

That's what you should be doing. **** it, when we "won" the division with Tebow (lol) and then beat the Steelers in the playoffs I was laughing my ass off. I knew we sucked and I was still having fun. You guys have a really good thing going. Why even be a fan if you can't enjoy the good times?

Agree with all of this except the people will be pissed part is just ridiculous.

8-0 and pissed? That's dumb and you are correct, people are pissed.

And when called on it they go I'm not pissed I'm just talking football. Yea that's not true in many cases.

The bad news is that we're the worst 8-0 team in the league. The good news is that we're the best 8-0 team in the league.

A great defense still trumps anything else out there.

When was the last time the Chiefs went 8-0?

Like you claiming the game was over in the 3rd and you didn't trust the defense in a game we never trailed in or came close to trailing in?
