Fisher played well against buffalo. I am betting he would have played well against a lousy Sam Diego defense. And who knows how Stephenson would fare against jj watt and Shaun Phillips and Von miller, but they're clowning lots of starting linemen. |

Hey, I am retired and have most weekdays to re-watch. I watch these KC games at least twice per week. You?
How bout we just stop with this childish BS.. no grudges.. it's pointless. ... and by the way, this Sunday afternoon, I will be watching the KC game over the SF game. That's how much I like the Chiefs right now... and it isn't just the QB that I like on this team. Ready to bury the hatchet and try to be civil? or are you not a big enough man for this?

I imagine Stephenson is going to struggle against Von Miller.

I think this is fair and true enough. Still though... after last week, I'd say Stephenson has earned more reps. Wouldn't it be great to develop him at RT, as the hope will likely be that Fisher moves to LT and Stephenson gets a strong shot at RT in the offseason?

Let Fish heal up and not risk his future, as for Asamoah... i'm at a loss, i counted him as a definite strength to start the season, but the fact is he's looked bad... not looking like the pass blocker he used to be, and not as physical as you hope a big man like him should be in the run. How much of that is because he was next to Fisher is up for debate, but the fact is that both replacements helped give us our best offensive production of the year against an underrated front... if either guy wants to fold up because they didn't start a few games, then we don't need them anyway. |

Fisher is a rookie and had an early shoulder injury. He's been getting better throughout the season. Fisher was really good against a speed guy like Von Miller but then struggled against the power of Vickerson. The shoulder injury could be part of the reason why he struggles with power. Fisher is more athletic than Stephenson and has quicker feet. I imagine once Fisher gets stronger he is going to be a fine OT.

Liuget doesn't hold a candle to Phillips/Von miller, jj watt, and the browns excellent defensive line. Fisher has had some insanely difficult match ups the past few weeks. I think it's silly for people to act like the right tackle play didn't have a lot to do with the quality of the defensive end they matched up against. I don't think San Diego's dline is that much different than buffalos, and fisher played excellent against buffalo. And if people are going to act like we passed well and ran well, and that's because we changed the right side of the line? Silly. We played better because Alex smith took more chances, our receivers played far better, we played an overall lousy defense, and smith stretching the field is going to open up your running game. Stephenson played well, but I don't see why fisher wouldn't have played equally well. |

Even though i was truly underwhelmed with the name "Alex Smith" i figured that the best way to win now, which is the mode we're in, was to get a vet who can steady the ship... not a rookie who'll need 2-3 years to reach the level of playoff caliber while our core on both sides of the ball gets old. Go back and look if you feel like it sometime, i never at Geno until some of these other guys wouldn't just let it go while we're 4, 5, 6 and O. |
