Since the first Denver game: Smith vs. Manning

Over the last 5 games:

Manning: 62% completions, 7.4 yds/attempt, 14 TD, 4 INT - Broncos: 32.8 PPG

It is kind of refreshing that you know a game can go all 4 quarters now without it being decided.

It's really hard to tell what's sarcasm and what's not with all the pro-Alex Smith talk...

Congrats on the playoff spot, sincerely.

Yep. That's what everyone, who has the comprehension level above 6th grade, has gotten on here for years.

Huh? What?

You mean where the defense was giving the offense the ball on the opponent side of the field so often? Heck, in one game the defense scored more points than either offense.

I think you need a new theory. But I am loving Alex Smiths play right now, and we all should.

Nice stat line. IMO the better stat line however is that we are averaging 37 pts a game over that stretch.

I would never be in favor over Manning of Smith. As you can see, both are capable of similar stats. Smith is more of a team player and does it at half the cost. The only reason Smith doesn't have a ring is because of injury. Yes, I believe he is a better QB than Kaep and SF made a monumental error in judgment letting him go. Doesn't mean Kaep won't be successful in SF. I just believe what Smith's coaches have been saying all along. The guy needs to be in a system for a couple of years (or until he fully integrates himself) and then he plays extremely well.

Congrats to the Chiefs, to us fans, and to A. Smith for making the most of his opportunity in KC. Most notably, making the late season adjustments in his reads to increase the effectiveness of the offense and making us a contender!

Enjoying the ride.
