Please don't settle on Avant...there are better options still available.

Jones is 30, so I'd do a 3 year deal max.

Yeah I don't think anyone is looking for a long-term deal for him...just a reliable reciever as we develop whoever we draft...

Nothing matters if we don't draft well. Whether we spend our we don't spend.

Last year was not a great draft, though there is still potential for kush, commings, and Kelce to start and for Fisher to at least become a good player even if he never justifies the pick. In Dorseys defense, he didn't have his own scouts in place so this year will be interesting.

If we draft well and continue to steal good players like McGrath, Cooper, Parker etc... FFrom other squads, we can start finding true long term starters.

Can't draft anything if you're trading away picks.

They gave up too much for Alex Smith. I am not a fan of their 2013 strategy but like what I'm seeing so far this year, even if its not sexy

Jones apparently wants to go to Carolina.... fit makes sense given they're barren at WR.

Would have been nice to get a start on this strategy last year instead of making a splash and getting everybody's hopes up.

I don't think the right strategy a year after a fan revolt was to sell in another rebuild. I said last year that the strategy last year was very un-Dorsey like. I think they knew the #1 priority was to get fans excited about the team and get Arrowhead rocking again, and that there would be no patience for watching the team stumble another 3 years.

I am glad they did that versus the Pioli way, which was to sledgehammer a team that had a lot of working parts because he only knows one way to do things.

They've basically built a team that has an outside shot at competing today, but has a focus on tomorrow. So this team is doing all the right kind of things to rebuild while not making it painful to watch today. I can buy into that strategy. Apart from Alex Smith, most of the free agents they brought in last year are 2-3 year fixes. I know the strategy isn't for everyone, but I disagree that there was no strategy involved.
