How often do you eat a home-cooked meal?
With all the food posts lately, I'm wondering how often you eat a meal that's made at home. Frozen pizzas, etc. don't count. I'm talking about a meal that takes some thought and time to make. Oh, breakfast is unique because cereal, toast, etc. are easy, so it's not a deal breaker. It's better than donuts, though.

I'd make a poll, but the options are overwhelming.

We'll figure 21 meals per week (you get the math I'm sure).

My wife and I maybe go out to eat twice a month. Other than that one of us cooks at home. I'd say 75% me and 25% her.

We eat out 3 times a week. The other 4 I just cook bulk and feed off of that. And leftovers. Lot's of leftovers.

I usually cook a real meal 5-6 nights a week. Friday we get takeout of some kind or go out without the kids. Breakfast is always at home except I get kids donuts on Saturday morning. I don't really eat lunch often. If I do, it's probably not at home and because I got dragged out for a work lunch.

I don't really track that. But I'm not a big eater. Not unusual to go all day without eating anything but fruit or shakes. The person that comes to my house to clean sometimes cooks me some meals she puts in the freezer. Also bakes me a weeks worth of chicken breast with some tasty rubs that I'll put into a salad.

Probably 6 nights a week, I cook most nights, unless we go someplace really nice my wife prefers my cooking to most of the chain type restaurants.

Crock pots are easy.
