Donnie Avery has a core muscle injury. Needs surgery. On his way to Philly to get fixed. Is out for Sunday.

Are you talking MO, or IL? In MO I never closed over 2.5%, closed a good 30-35 for no PPD, and never encountered anyone who secured representation for a purely hernia claim. That was St.L. city and down the eastern border/bootheel.

7.5% in MO sounds like waiting out for the city's most liberal ALJ. Sounds par for the course in IL.

MO. Right or wrong, I think the ALJs are biased to rate surgical injuries higher than nonsurgical, regardless of outcome.

Unless things have changed radically in the past 5-8 years, it's probably still somewhat a function of who you get in front of. Especially outside the city.

I have no problem philosophically with a bit of money for going under the knife, even if they have to call it permanent disability that objectively doesn't exist. But it does shortchange non-surgical back strains that do leave workers creaky for the rest of their days, even if all the rehab they needed was chiropractic.

My guess is Fankie Hammond Jr. or AJ Jenkins, I don't think that Hemingway has anywhere near enough speed to play the role that Avery did. They might give AJ Jenkins the nod early on just because it is against SF and he might play with a chip on his shoulder. Fully expect Reid to just rotate guys though.

Hammond has looked like stank ass thus far.

He can't even do a decent job of catching/returning punts yet.
