Enjoy the rest of the season.

Ah. Well, I was dreading it and now that its over, its all good. Now that Kansas City has elected to opt out of the post season race this season, we can all watch these last few contests and see how our young guys develop with these "game situation reps" that will be forthcoming.

They had a nice run of victories there, but its very, very clear that this team simply isn't post season ready yet. In any phase of the game, really. Coaching definitely needs to see a bigtime shake up this offseason. I know its pretty unrealistic to expect Reid to be gone, but Doug Pederson and Bob Sutton are top of the list as sacrificial , with Dave Toub not far behind.

Offensive gameplanning has been the reason for the losses we have sustained. The complete and total lack of desire to get the football to our best player on offense has directly turned into several embarrassing losses for this team.

Ten days to prepare, and our opening series against the Broncos is a three and out, all passes, Jamaal Charles doesn't even sniff the football. Matter of fact, he only sees it 7 times in the first half. Translation: DOWN BIG AT THE HALF.

Gutless calls. The kneeldown with 2 timeouts left at the end of the half from the 40? You don't even want to take a shot? You've gone 3 and out all ****ing game and on 4th and 1 you need a timeout to psyche yourself up to go for it on 4th down, fighting that overwhelming urge to punt the ball back to Denver.

This was an embarrassing shit-show. The biggest game of the season for this football team, at home, under the lights, in front of the world, damn near 2 weeks to prepare for it and you don't even put up a ****ing iota of resistance.

This simply cannot stand. It cannot stand if this organization wants to be taken seriously by its fanbase. When you have a PATENT DISREGARD for the BEST PLAYER ON YOUR OFFENSE, you need to lose your job. Period.

What the **** did Reid think was going to happen? That just all of a sudden these wideouts would just decide, OUT OF THE ****ING BLUE, to do something they HAVENT DONE ALL ****ING YEAR, and be the driving force on offense?

Give the ****ing ball to Jamaal. You live and you die with Jamaal Charles. At least if you give the ball to Jamaal, you can LEGITIMATELY say that you gave your offense the best chance to win.

Andy has not done that, and he will continue to not do that. At this point, they may as well drop the rest of the games and improve draft position, so that they can draft a fleet of wideouts so Andy can run his preferred gameplan.

Charles' career is going to be squandered under this fat ****ing imbecile.

In any case, enjoy the rest of the Chiefs season stress free guys. This was our playoff, and in true Chiefs fashion, it was a laugher.

I'm pretty sure that in the five years you've posted, not a single thing has been right.

The Chiefs aren't a playoff team. They're not a division winning team. They may not have a winning record.

Defending this piece of shit team is dumb.

I think the defense can be improved in under two years if they abandon the 3-4.

Second season in a row it's collapsed. Can't stop the run and can't stop the pass very well either. Poe isn't rotated out of NT because there isn't any one better behind him on the chart. If that kind of guy is that critical to the defense working to the point you can't pull him out of the game then it's probably time to look elsewhere scheme wise.

Then consider Houston and Hali's contact situation. The Chiefs will have to dedicate a lot of money to keep both and the foregone conclusion here is that Hali gets jettisoned.

Ford looks like a long term project at this point. He's not ready to replace Hali.

Adding to this is the loss of DJ and Berry at their positions. ILB is the easier spot to replace in theory but Berry was asked to be a run stuffer, blitzer and coverage safety.

Seems to me that sticking with the 3-4 will tie the defense's hands in terms of being effective unless big moves are made in FA and or through getting extremely lucky in the draft.

So why stick with it then if KC looks to enter the season with only one good OLB, no good healthy ILBs, a fatigued NT, and no jack of all trades safety that the defense apparently needs to look halfway decent?

We legitimately have two guys that are the best at their respective positions in the 3-4 in Houston and Poe. Scrapping the scheme at this point would be idiotic.

How effective is the 3-4 if they can't find a guy to spell Poe and keep him from getting fatigued?

How effective is the 3-4 if Houston is the only pass rushing threat?

Maybe Wallcrawler would like to pass time by for the rest of the season by watching Jerry Rice footage.

I just advise that he stays away from his rookie year, 1992-1993, and 1997-99. You are bound to see some embarrassing dropped passes by Rice.

How effective is any philosophy if you don't have the talent?...

That's my point. KC is behind the 85 all personnel wise trying to patch together the 3-4 to make it work..

It's worked great almost all year.

This defense isn't the problem.

With no Berry, no DJ, and a rookie at CB we held Denver under 30. We had a sack/fumble and could have had two INT's.

Our offense turned the ball over. Kelcee and Charles probably didn't break a sweat. Our offensive line $3it the bed...

The defense isn't very good if it's giving up 150+ rushing yards.

It's giving up so many yards because there's no DJ, Berry and Poe can't be taken off the field.

Poe is nowhere close to being the best at his position.

He is constantly re-routed and stood up by single linemen. They run right at the guy. He's a 43 DT or should be used as an end in our 34, but he's not a 34 NT.

How effective is the 3-4 if Houston is the only pass rushing threat?

It has everything to do with the lack of talent and a coordinator that seemingly doesn't understand the concept of giving guys breathers.

We have, arguably, the best 3-4 OLB and NT in the league. Who do we have that we know for a fact could play as effectively as they do in the 4-3? Not a damned body. DJ and Hali were both just decent in the 4-3. I have no doubts that Houston and Poe could be pretty good because they're that talented, but switching the scheme when you've already got the two most important pieces would be just as idiotic as you suggesting we trade the two.

The bottom line is we've got two great defenders now that we've lost DJ and Berry. Hali and Bailey are pretty good. Other than that, we've got dog shit.

Good thing we have a shit ton of draft picks this year. Dorsey better spend them wisely.
I think that the Redskins have the worst Oline in the league.

Whatever the draft is strong in, we will ignore that position. That's what Dorsey does.
