What the hell is this bullshit I keep hearing about Ware slowing down?

"His YPC is way down."

Watch this mother****er run on NFL replay right now. Only thing this cat is slowing down for is old ladies crossing the street. The dude runs as hard as he has been all season.

The running game hasn't quite been totally on since Ehinger went down. Give him a crease and he'll rape dudes.

It probably won't happen but I think the Chiefs need some new blood at the OL coaching position, beyond the obvious need at left guard.

Ehinger is probably the starter heading into 2017 but they need an upgrade in depth.
Totally agree on needing a new o line coach. Seems like they underperform every year. Was Nagy the o line coach last year or am I confused? Losing Ehriger hurt but with the supposed talent we have on the line they should be performing much better even without the rookie inthere.

Injuries are taking a toll. There is no continuity at the moment. Not to mention brain farts. Hopefully concentration is better Thursday night.

Ware is a beast, I think. You could really tell a few times this year that there's a drop off between Ware and West.
I think his production would be back up if the handoffs were disguised a little better and not broadcast so much.

We use tons of motions, jets, options and misdirection as is.

It's pretty tough to disguise a running play to your back.

I get that, but still think Alex could hide the ball at handoff a little better instead of making it so obvious.

Charcandrick West had been dinged up from Training Camp up until a few weeks ago. He's a different player than Ware and works better in space.

Unfortunately, this offense line, especially the left side with Fisher-Fulton-Morse, has rarely been able to create any space for a player like West, thus his declining numbers.

I've said it before: John Dorsey's done a phenomenal job of rebuilding the Chiefs roster. But he's 0 for 6 at the left guard position and not only has he been unable to find a quality 16 game starter, he's been unable to find adequate reserves.

Allen, McGlynn, Grubbs, Fulton, Stephenson, Ehinger and now back to Fulton.

We have no talent there.

THE END...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Andy Heck and Eugene Chung were co-offensive line coaches. Heck is still in KC but Chung moved on to Philly with Pederson.

IMO, it's not the coaching so much as it is the talent. LDT and Fulton were 6th round picks for a reason and three years later, they've both improved but Fulton's ceiling is far lower. Fisher's improved but Morse has been iffy this year. He'll have a a few great plays, then a few bonehead plays.

Schwartz (or Shartz, as I call him) has been a massive disappointment, from being butt****ed on SNF by Shaq Barrett and Von Miller to dumb false start penalties to just outright missing assignments. I don't think the fault lies with the offensive line coach in his case.

It's execution, which is all mental.

This.

And I'm not a fan of the "lean and athletic" OL pick.

I'll take an Albert any day over a Fisher type...

There's talent at LT, C and RT. For whatever reason, these guys just haven't played well as a unit.

Fulton is a backup, period. LDT is decent but I'm afraid by the time he finally reaches his ceiling, he'll be ready to become a full time doctor in Canada.

I think he hit on Ehinger. Can't fault Dorsey because he got hurt. Ehinger was looking good. The run game has clearly suffered since his injury. next season, after that injury heals and he bulks up, I expect him to be our answer at LG.

Schwartz and ldt have been playing on high ankle sprains since early in the year and Fulton is an adequate backup.
