If we're going to add a WR, who should it be?

So Veach said it pretty clearly, we're in the market for a WR that can keep up with Mahomes' talent. Forget whether or not you agree that we should be picking up a WR... tell me who your guy would be if you HAVE to add a WR via FA or draft???

Some really interesting names out there that I like...

Watkins - Yeah I know, injury history. But he could potentially come fairly cheap on a prove it deal and has massive potential.

Allen Robinson - See above Watkins description, add some height and from what I can tell a better attitude. That 1,400 yard season with Bortles has me wondering what he can do with Mahomes.

Dez - Some saying Cowboys will have to move on from Dez. We have Kelce already, but a tall, big, redzone threat WR with crazy talent on the outside could be just what this offense needs to be complete.

Landry - We don't have a sure-handed, 100+ receptions per year, WR on this team. Hill is a playmaker, not a lunchbox and pail kind of WR. Landry could be what Maclin was supposed to be.

Paul Richardson - A tier or two down from the above receivers, but a guy that seems like he's ready for a bigger role. He could shine considering we don't actually need a true #1 WR, we already have Kelce and Hill.

How bout the rest of CP, who would you be interested in adding?

Mahomes is fine with what we've got. Get another one the following year.
This... get a mauler LG and declare the 2018 offense ready to roll

And I wouldnt put too much stock in Veach hinting around about a receiver either, tis the season for blowing smoke after all

I was thinking about this walking home, and I still think a low cost addition to replace Wilson is required, the cap space can cope with a few million a year on WR.

I think the highest pick I want used on a WR would be one of the 4th's, if you think about Hill on one side of the offense and Kelse up the middle, the other side is going to get a lot of one on one against a CB2 with no safety help - If you can get a blazing speed guy in the 4th with good hands then why not?

According to folks at the combine the Chiefs have interviewed, or are set to interview Jaleel Scott, Dante Pettis, Equa St Brown, James Washington, J'Mon Moore And Auden Tate. Tight-Ends Mark Andrews and Jordan Akins are also set to meet with the Chiefs but the one they have had major discussions with appears to be Durham Smythe, who is said to have met the Chiefs TE coach too.

EDIT: Ian Thomas has also met with the Chiefs

was listening to local radio here in LA this morning and they were saying the draft is deep with interior offensive lineman. Keyshawn added that the draft was weak for WR.

Thankfully, we've already got Hill and Kelce, so all we need now Is another third threat who can complement those guys and give Mahomes someone else to target If defenses find a way to take those two out of the game.

If we got another top tier WR or TE or even receiving RB to go with Hunt/Hill/Kelce... it would be like Durant joining the Warriors. FOR REAL THOUGH. Who do you cover?!?!

EXACTLY!!. People who say they don't want another wr seem to look past this. IF we manage to get a really good third weapon on offense It will cause ample amount of problems for DC's because they will have to make some very tough choices which is likely to leave some of our most dangerous players one on one or In Hunt's case much more room to run in.

'Smythe' sounds like a nice mix of blocking and receiving talent

'Plays like an offensive lineman, technically sound blocker/lays out to make the catch, unfazed by hitters in the middle'

I think he goes too high for us, but this kid James Washington would be a lot of fun with Mahomes. Deep ball specialist! Averaged 20 yards per catch.

2015: 53 Rec, 1087 yards, 10 TDS
2016: 71 Rec, 1380 yards, 10 TDS
2017: 74 Rec, 1549 yards, 13 TDS
