got me thinkin. had a coworker one night, his wife cooked him a steak, he brought it to work. put it on the workbench just before he was ready for lunch. turned around and a chunk was missing.

so the next day he put out a bag of dorito's only he applied the chips with spray glue. the man that ate the steak, was gone the next day, because we assume his intestines clogged up with glue

I've stolen food or drinks from an office fridge at desperate moments many years ago.

Nowadays I would NEVER because people do WEIRD shit like pissing in lemonade or ice tea, spitting or snotting on their leftover pizza or sandwich, putting laxatives in cupcakes or brownies, and many other utterly vile things.

Weird thing I never even really thought about much until this thread, but I never even contemplated taking something from a communal fridge unless it was, like, sodas or beers put there as policy for everyone, or I got an email saying 'x is in the fridge for all, help yourself.'

I think there was a creeping fear that if I so much as futzed around with someone else's stuff, that's when they'd come in and catch me red-handed. And most people, it seems, either put stuff in a bag or in some Tupperware, so you would have to commit to pulling something out and opening it to even try. And even then, who knows it whatever is in the bag or Tupperware is worth a shit.

Just not even worth contemplating.

When I take a flight, it's nearly always a round trip on the same airline. On the trip out, I do the crossword puzzle in the inflight magazine. On the way back, if there's someone next to me, I'll take out the magazine, which is almost always the same issue, and I'll do the crossword puzzle lightning fast while we're taxiing since I can remember the answers, just so the person next to me will think I'm some sort of savant.
