This Week's Gambling Thread (09/16 - 09/22)

There is a short write up on our weekly winner (Dartgod) and our worst performances by quite a group of you on the homepage. Read about them at Winners and Losers

1. Go to the Leader Board to insure your name is on the list of competitors this season. Also check your totals. Gambling with more than your total amount will disqualify you from the week.

2. If your name appears then you can go to 9/21/03 Odds to get the info to place your bets. Refresh the page BEFORE you decide on your bets.

3. Come back here and place your bets. Remember to follow the rules listed on Gambling Home Page Rules

I will take your bets from this page and place them on the web page listed in #2 above.

I STRONGLY advice that you refresh the pages before referring to them, especially if you have cookies activated.

Also note this very important fact: You are responsible for insuring your bets are placed accurately. Check it to insure your bets are correct. Remember - only you can prevent bad bet placement

IMPORTANT RULE - DO NOT EDIT YOUR BETS AFTER YOU HAVE PLACED THEM. INSTEAD START A NEW REPLY WITH THE WORDS "CHANGE BET(S)" AT THE BEGINNING OF THE POST

This will help me in keeping up with bet placement and changes without becoming an accountant and referee.

Question ??

Wolfman, I bet my whole wad on this morning games. I won all my bets...Now my question is this, 'Can I now bet on the Sunday night game, even though the results for the morning game are not posted yet, and by appearances I have already bet all my money..??' Hope this makes sense to you...

Yes and yes, but you are responsible for calculating accurately, If you overbid, you lose all your bids for the week - including those already won.

Now back to work before the boss finds me.

I disagree with ALL my bets being invalidated. I did overextend myself on the early games, but if I were to do that with an actual bookie, he'd simply drop the last bets which put me over. In which case, I lose the $5000 Chiefs and Vikings bets. My afternoon bets should be fine because I'm not overextended there and my bets for SNF and MNF should be valid as well.

I am fine with that decision, if BD agrees. I have sent a Smoke Signal to him as well.

I appreciate that. I guess I went nuts last night. I believe that is the precedent when this has happened in the past. If I had lost all those games, I think most the competitors would want my first $14k to count negative.... I know the "house" would.

It won't happen again.

Push? You gained 6k and moved way up the leaderboard. I think you only lost one bet.
