I would agree with you there. The reaction did seem to be out of proportion to the offense.

Another thing is that you have to look at the history. In week 2, the Seahawks humiliated the Niners in Seattle. Sherman's comments to the media were "I thought this was going to be a match up; it's a mismatch."

Probably most of the hating is by Niners fans, I would guess.
