He won't meet with the AD?

Mike Alden set a "decision deadline" that allows for time for Painter to meet with his club in West Lafayette, where he just HAPPENS to be going to make a decision on his future?

All signs point to good things from my perspective!

A few more wins, a slightly higher winning percentage, a Final Four. But that doesn't take away from the historical stinginess of the program and playing second/third/fourth fiddle to IU, BU, and ND.

This has some merit. If Painter were staying, he does not need to go back to West Lafayette....Purdue can just fax him his new deal and he can sign it. If he is leaving, or at least leaning that way, then he does need to go, so he can say goodbye to his players, and/or listen to Purdue's last ditch effort to keep him.

This is not a done deal by any stretch, but I do not see him cutting his vacation short and going to West Lafayette as a bad sign for Mizzou necessarily.
